Chapter 15: Thunderhead Walkthrough
Volcano Summit – Sky (Collecting Items)
| 1 | Head to the area where you put out the wall of fire. You will find Blessed Butterflies to your left. |

| 2 | Play the harp to make a Gossip Stone appear. Afterwards, use the Mogma Mitts on the soft soil spot to reach an underground area. |
| 3 | Head to where the light is shining until you resurface to find Fairies and Heart Piece x1. |
| 4 | Use the Bird Statue to travel back to the sky. |
| 5 | From the sky, travel to Thunderhead and head for the southwest section of Bug Rock. You will find a Goddess Chest containing Heart Piece x1 there by dropping from the top of the island. |
| 6 | Also in Thunderhead is another Goddess Chest found in the Isle of Songs. Head to the top of the island to find it. The chest contains a Small Bomb Bag. |
| 7 | Next, head to Beedle Island by sleeping in Beedle’s Air Shop. Afterwards, go up the ladder by the entrance to the shop and reach for the chest containing a Rupee Medal by jumping over. |
| 8 | Another Goddess Chest can be found at the island below Fun Fun Island. Open it to get Gold Rupee x1. |
| 9 | You can choose to spend time at the Rickety Coaster mini game at the Lanayru region Shipyard to win some useful items and Rupees. |
| 10 | Talk to the Goron near the mine cart at the Shipyard to begin the mini game. Clearing the “Scary!” course within 30 seconds rewards you with Silver Rupee x1. Meanwhile, beating the “Heart Stopping!” course in less than 65 seconds gets you Heart Piece x1. Subsequent clears will reward you with Golden Skull or Blue Bird Feather. |
| 11 | When you are ready to proceed with the main story, travel to the Faron Region to reach the Sealed Temple. |
Sealed Grounds – The Imprisoned (2nd Encounter)
| 1 | Go inside the Sealed Temple and talk to the old woman. Then, do a Skyward Strike on the structure in the middle. |

| 2 | Head back to the Sealed Grounds and listen to Groose for information on the Groosenator. |
| 3 | Move down toward the Seal and prepare to battle The Imprisoned. |
| 4 | As with the first battle, slash at the boss’ toes as he tries to walk forward. Just be careful of the red shockwaves that radiate from his feet each time he takes a step.
The Imprisoned will begin to grab on to the ledge during the fight. Use the Groosenator and aim a bomb at the boss. Afterwards, slash at its remaining toes. The boss will eventually fall down flat on its back. Run to its head and slash the seal on it three times. The boss will get up and attempt to climb the ledge again. Aim the Groosenator at it and shoot a bomb to stun it. Run up to its toes and take them out again. Attack the seal again when the boss falls down a second time. When the Imprisoned gets up again, it will slide itself quickly up the slope. Use the geysers around the area to help you move up the slope faster and catch up on the boss. Use the Groosenator to slow it down and attack its toes. Repeat the process until the boss returns to the bottom of the Sealed Grounds and deliver a Skyward Strike to end the fight. |
| 5 | Enter the Sealed Temple again and talk to the old woman. |
| 6 | Open the Gate of Time using a Skyward Strike to reach the Temple of Hylia. |
| 7 | Talk to Impa. Afterwards, move toward the door ahead and go inside to meet Zelda. |
| 8 | Talk to Impa again. Then, head back through the Gate of Time. |
| 9 | Talk to the old woman. Afterwards, talk to Goose and take the east exit out of the temple. |
| 10 | Approach Gorko up on the upper ledge. Afterwards, use your harp and play it. This will cause a Triforce symbol to appear. Talk to Gorko again and draw what he asks on the wall to get Heart Piece x1. |
| 11 | Head for the Bird Statue and travel back to Skyloft. It is highly recommended to complete The Missing Crystal Ball side quest now as you will only get to access it again much later in the game. Head to the Bazaar and talk to the man at the diner to begin the quest. Clearing it rewards you with 5 Gratitude Crystals. |
Great Spirit of the Skies Levias – Collecting Items
| 1 | Head to the Knight Academy in Skyloft and talk to Gaepora. Leave and listen to him about Levias. |

| 2 | Talk to Instructor Owlan to learn more about Levias. He will also teach you spiral charge that you can use while riding your loftwing. |
| 3 | Clear the training course to master spiral charge. Then, head to the Lumpy Pumpkin. |
| 4 | Talk to the Lumpy Pumpkin owner. Afterwards, go to Thunderhead and fly toward the light. |
| 5 | Head for the rainbow island and prepare to battle Levias. |
| 6 | The general strategy against Levias is to destroy the four eyes found on each of its tentacles using spiral charge. You will have to deal with other flying enemies in the area as well.
After taking out all of the eyes, jump off of your loftwing and onto Levias’ back. You will then need to deal with Bilocyte that has possessed Levias. Be ready to shoot the green projectile that Bilocyte shoots at you back at it using sword strikes. Swing your sword from left to right to knock of the right wing off Bilocyte. Do this as well but slash your sword from right to left to take out the left wing. Your next target will eventually be Bilocyte’s head. Prepare to deflect the green projectile he shoots back at him in the direction of his head which can be to the left, right or in the middle. If the boss’ head stays in the middle, perform a vertical slash to hit it. When Bilocyte falls down, follow up with more sword attacks before it gets back up. Continue deflecting its projectiles and he should go down eventually. |
| 7 | Levias will talk to you after Bilocyte is defeated. Afterwards, travel to Bug Rock and talk to Strich. |
| 8 | Next, head to Beedle’s Air Shop and talk to Beedle. Sleep on the bed until night afterwards. |
| 9 | Leave the air shop at night and talk to Beedle at the campfire to begin the Beedle’s Missing Beetle side quest. |
| 10 | Head back to the air shop. When it turns to day, travel to Bug Rock again and talk to Strich and clear his bug catching challenge to get Beedle’s Horned Colossus Beetle back. |
| 11 | Head back to Beedle’s Air Shop and talk to Beedle. Sleep in the bed again until nighttime. Afterwards, talk to Beetle outside to return his Horned Colossus Beetle. Clearing the side quest gives you a 50% discount on the next item you buy from his shop. You will also get 5 Gratitude Crystals. |
| 12 | Sleep at the shop again and buy Heart Piece x1. |
| 13 | You can also head over to Batreaux to get Gold Rupee x2 if you have collected up to 70 at this point. |
