Heart Pieces are game collectibles related to Link’s total health in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD. There are a total of twenty-four (24) heart pieces in the game and are found at different locations as you go through the main story. Below is a list of all heart pieces, and their locations, and how to get them.

Faron Woods	Heart Piece #1: Once you pass by Faron Woods, you’ll come to a spot where there’s a natural land bridge that makes a sort of “m” shape, with the middle of the “m” being a ramp. Climb up and take it to the far left (towards the tree) and you’ll see a platform extending from the Great Tree, you’ll need to balance onto the rope to reach the Heart Piece.	None
Lumpy Pumpkin	Heart Piece #2: The owner of the Lumpy Pumpkin, Pumm is proud and protective of his fancy chandelier (that has a Piece of Heart on top of it). On the second floor you can see warning signs for customers not to bonk anything. Purposefully roll repeatedly into the railing or wall nearby to make it crash down, and then snag the Piece of Heart. The Sky	Heart Piece #3: To access the Goddess Chest holding this Piece of Heart, you must use a Skyward Strike on the Goddess Cube located just outside of the entrance to the Skyview Temple. A chest in the sky will then become available to you, which can be found on an island south of Skyloft.	Strike Goddess Cube #2
Skyview Temple	Heart Piece #4: Within the Skyview Temple, in the central room with the giant bird statue, run to the back side of the statue and face towards it. You will see a Piece of Heart behind bars, stand a few steps away from it and use your Beetle. Fly it to the top of the bird statue and, as you near the top, you’ll see an inner alcove in the neck of the statue that is only open on the north side. Hit the crystal switch to open the gate and claim your prize.	Acquire the Beetle
Skyloft	Heart Piece #5: After you have collected 10 Gratitude Crystals, take them to Batreaux and he’ll reward you with a Piece of Heart.	Acquire 10 Gratitude Crystals
Eldin Volcano	Heart Piece #6: When first traversing through the Eldin region, you’ll come to a skeletal bridge in the middle of the lava. Turn right and climb up the nearby platforms, which circle around along upper ledges that leads to a Piece of Heart.	None
Lanayru Desert	Heart Piece #7: In the Lanayru Desert, there’s a thin passageway to the northeast corner of the map. You’ll see one of the underground roads leads to one end of it (the right side). You can jump down onto that road and head to the passageway entrance, which is a cracked wall. Blow it up, then follow the path which leads to a chest containing a Piece of Heart.	Acquire Bombs
The Sky	Heart Piece #8: Found inside of Goddess Chest #12 on Beedle’s Island. The Goddess Cube is located at the north end of the Temple of Time. Link will have to ride on a minecart and deliver a Skyward Strike to activate the cube.	Strike Goddess Cube #12
Fun Fun Island	Heart Piece #9: Pay Dodoh the money and he’ll shoot you out of a cannon. You want to avoid the “Dodoh Balls” and go through all of the rings by gliding. If you land on the multi-colored panel, you’ll win 50 Rupees. The first time you do this successfully, you’ll also win a Piece of Heart.	Return Dodoh’s Party Wheel
Lumpy Pumpkin	Heart Piece #10: From the Heart Piece #2, Pumm will make you work for your debt. You have to play the Goddess’s Harp to an audience at the Lumpy Pumpkin, strumming based on the movements of the audience. After all three of Pumm’s work are done you’ll be rewarded with the Piece of Heart.	Acquire the Goddess’s Harp
Faron Woods	Heart Piece #11: Return to the southwest area of Faron Woods where you’ll find a cracked wall. Use a Bomb to reveal a small cave hiding this Heart Piece.	Acquire Bombs
Skyloft	Heart Piece #12: Jump into the main river of Skyloft and you’ll find an underwater passageway along the east end of the river. Follow this pathway and you’ll reach the storage shed with the Goddess Chest located within.	Acquire the Water Dragon’s Scale, Strike Goddess Cube #9
The Sky	Heart Piece #13: The Goddess Chest is located on an island east of the Lanayru beacon. The island has an inner and outer portion; the chest is on a high ledge on the inner of the island. You can either skydive onto the ledge or use the Clawshots.	Strike Goddess Cube #14
Skyloft	Heart Piece #14: Climb on top of the chimney of the Knight Academy, using the Clawshot on the target. Drop down and crawl through this area to find yourself within Zelda’s room. Open the cupboard to find a Piece of Heart.	Acquire the Double Clawshots
Sandship	Heart Piece #15: Once you obtain the map, you’ll see an area to the far right side of one of the mid floors that you can’t reach, but it has a chest on it. Climb the mast and use the gear pullies all over the place until you get to the very end, the last one leads to the stern (east). Use Clawshot on the beam at the back of the boat, drop down to the chest and get a Piece of Heart.	Acquire the Double Clawshots
Skyloft	Heart Piece #16: The Goddess Chest can be found at the top of the waterfall island on the east side of the map. To get up there, you can use Clawshots to grab onto some vines on a floating rock outside the Waterfall Cave, then use Clawshots again to reach the waterfall.	Strike Goddess Cube #21
Skyloft	Heart Piece #17: Visit Fledge in his room at night, you’ll find him doing push-ups. Bring him two Stamina Potions and he will start to build his confidence. After obtaining the Bow, you’ll find him outside the Sparring Hall with a new minigame for you. To earn a Piece of Heart, you’ll need to score higher than 600 points – the key is to maintain your accuracy to avoid losing your combo bonus.	Acquire the Bow
Fire Sanctuary	Heart Piece #18: You’ll find a soft soil spot at the far northwest part of the Temple. At the Underground you will find a Mogma and once you catch him, he’ll reward you with a Piece of Heart.	Acquire the Mogma Mitts
Volcano Summit	Heart Piece #19: You’ll find a spot on the right side that you can use your Mogma Mitts. This is where the second wall of fire originally blocked your pathway and you need to use water on the frog statue to pass. Dig underground and it will lead to the Piece of Heart. Bug Rock	Heart Piece #20: The Goddess Chest containing this Piece of Heart can be found on a ledge on Bug Rock located inside the Thunderhead.	Strike Goddess Cube #24
Shipyard	Heart Piece #21: Take part in the Rickety Coaster minigame. There is a beginner (Scary!) and expert (Heart Pounding!) course. If you complete the expert course in under 65 seconds, you’ll be rewarded with a Piece of Heart.	Complete the Sandship
Sealed Grounds	Heart Piece #22: Speak to Gorko and he will talk about the “ancient texts,” referring to one of several different riddles he found in the texts. Draw the item referred to in the riddle, and if you draw the correct shape on the wall, Gorko will reward you with a Piece of Heart.	Defeat The Imprisoned
Skyloft	Heart Piece #23: This item is for sale for 1600 Rupees at Beedle’s Air Shop, but won’t be available until several other items have been purchased. Note: If you completed Beedle’s Insect Cage side quest first, Beedle will be grateful and he’ll let you purchase one item for half price, making it possible to get this Heart Piece for only 800 Rupees. Lanayru Gorge	Heart Piece #24: This is a boss challenge mode where you can play previously-defeated bosses again. If you can win four consecutive battles without stopping, you will get a Piece of Heart.	Give Life Tree Fruit to Lanayru
