How to Save Game in Skyward Sword HD

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is a remastered version of the original 2011 Nintendo Wii title boasts high-definition graphical quality and gameplay improvements for a better overall gaming experience.

This game features enhanced graphics and smoother game visuals. This will allows Link’s movements to look and feel more fluid and immediate thanks to the Switch system’s greater processing power to support HD graphics which will lead you to a more fun gaming experience and some times you needed to take a break from the long journey from hours of gameplay. Here’s an overview on how you can save your game data in Skyward Sword HD.

Saving your game manually using Bird Statues


You’ll need to use one of the bird statues to manually save your game progress in Skyward Sword HD. These may be found everywhere throughout Skyloft and on the surface, as well as inside the dungeons.

When you locate one, press A Button while standing in front of it to get the ‘Save’ selection. When you choose this, you’ll be given the option of saving your progress in one of three spaces. Simply choose the slot you wish to use and confirm your decision by pressing A Button again.

Automatic Save

The autosave function in Skyward Sword HD seems to be active on a regular basis. When a green indicator and the words ‘Saving…’ appears in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, you’ll know that something is gonna happen. This feature is usually activates after doing a chapter or story quest.

In the game’s initial release, autosave was not available; instead, players had to manually save by visiting a bird statue. This is a significant improvement in quality of life.
