Medals are game collectibles that has rewards and effects in Link in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD. There are a total of eight (8) medals in the game and are found at different locations as you go through the main story. Below is a list of all medals, and their effects, and how to get them.

Name	How to Get	Effects
Cursed Medal	Obtained from Batreaux \| After acquiring 30 Gratitude Crystals.	Rupees and Treasures appear more often, but your Adventure Pouch is disabled.
Rupee Medal	Activate the Goddess Cube in Faron Woods \| Open the chest inside the Thunderhead northeast of the Isle of Songs. Activate the Goddess Cube on top of Skyview Temple \| Open the chest at Beedle’s Island.	Rupees will appear more frequently.
Treasure Medal	Activate the Goddess Cube east of the Earth Temple \| Open the chest in an island southeast of Beedle’s Island.	Treasures will appear more frequently.
Life Medal	Bought from Beedle for 800 Rupees.	Grant you one extra piece of heart.
Heart Medal	Activate the Goddess Cube southwest of Lanayru Desert \| Open the chest in the island south of Skyloft. Activate the Goddess Cube northeast of Lanayru Desert \| Open the chest in the island in between Bamboo Island and Beedle’s Island.	Recovery Hearts will appear more frequently. In Hero Mode, equipping the medal causes hearts and heart flowers to reappear.
Bug Medal	Bought from Beedle for 1000 Rupees.	Shows the location of bugs on the map.
Potion Medal	Activate the Goddess Cube at Skipper’s Retreat \| Open the chest in an island west of Skyloft.	Doubles the effects of all potions.
