Introducing the Zelda & Loftwing Amiibo
The new “Zelda & Loftwing” amiibo will be released on July 16th to accompany the launch of the remastered game The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD for the Nintendo Switch.
The new amiibo features two characters on a single base: Zelda as she appears in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, and Loftwing as her company.
The childhood friend of the hero Link, Zelda will accompany him through his journey as they fly above the islands of Skyloft together with their Loftwings. Appearing as giant majestic birds, these creatures are ridden by the people of Skyloft to travel across the skies.
How to Activate Amiibo
You can use the Zelda & Loftwing amiibo while playing to instantly travel from anywhere on the surface world to the skies, even while inside dungeons.
Just tap the amiibo on your Joy Cons to call on your Loftwing during your journey.
Using the Zelda & Loftwing amiibo again while in the sky allows you to return to the spot on the surface where you used it before.
Another useful feature of the amiibo is to let you return to the Bazaar in Skyloft whenever you need to and replenish your supply of items. Once you are good to go, use the amiibo again to quickly get back to the surface and pick up where you left off!
