Chapter 9: Lake Floria Walkthrough
Faron Woods (Silent Realm)
1 | Travel to Faron Woods’ Bird Statue (In the Woods area) to get a Heart Piece x1. |

2 | Follow the path forward from the Bird Statue and use bombs to destroy the boulder blocking the cave. Get Heart Piece x1 afterwards. |
3 | Go northeast near the Viewing Platform’s Bird Statue. When you arrive, look in front of the structure for the circular area using the dowsing mechanic. |
4 | Use your harp and play it along the rhythm pulse. A mysterious mark will be shown when you play Farore’s Courage. |
5 | Approach the mark and thrust your sword down to reach the Silent Realm. |
6 | When you arrive in the Silent Realm, you will get the Spirit Vessel from Fi. You must then find the 15 Tears of Farore around the forest. |
7 | Avoid getting hit by the Guardians or you will be forced to restart the objective. Follow the direction of the beams of light from the Light Fruits to find the location of the remaining tears. |
8 | Watch for the Watchers as well as they will alert the Guardians when they see you. Do not step on the Waking Water ponds to avoid waking any Guardians as well. |
9 | Take the time to collect Dusk Relics in the area during this section to use them for crafting later. |
10 | After collecting all Tears of Farore, listen to Bucha. |
11 | Go south from Bucha to a small pond and dive into the water. |
12 | Head for the cavern to enter the Great Tree. Look for air bubbles to refill your oxygen while you are underwater. |
13 | Swim forward along the straight underwater path. When you reach the open area, move toward the vines and climb up. |
14 | Use the Gust Bellows on the swinging platform to make it swing toward you. Time your jump to get on it. |
15 | Make your way to the platform on your left using the same method with the Gust Bellows. |
16 | Go up the tree. You can use the Beetle to slash at the Quadro Baba’s stem to deal with them. |
17 | At the top of the is a treasure chest that contains Gold Rupee x1. |
18 | Go back all the way down and move to the west section of the tree toward the opening. |
19 | Drop down from the ledge and make your way out of the tree and back outside again. |
20 | Move up and scale the tree until you reach some vines. Take out your slingshot and shoot the Walltulas and climb the vines to reach the upper platform. |
21 | Shoot down the Walltulas in the next set of vines and continue going up the Great Tree. |
22 | Go inside the tree and jump past the Moblin to the exit. Note that you can use bombs to take out the Moblin as well. |
23 | Use the Bird Statue ahead and continue up the tree. Take out the Bokoblins and Keese along the way. |
24 | When you reach the vines, go up. At the top, shoot Yerbal, the sleeping Kikwi hermit, with the slingshot. |
25 | After talking to Yerbal, take the time to look for three Goddess Cubes found in the area. |
26 | To find the first one, you will need to scale the Great Tree again and look below the first exit of the tree west as you go up. |
27 | The next Goddess Cube can be found southeast by jumping off the ledge near the Bird Statue at the top of the Great Tree. Safely descend using the Sailcloth. |
28 | The third Goddess Cube can be found by going to the top of the Great Tree where you met Yerbal. Approach the section of the tree that juts out in the direction of the Viewing Platform and go south.
Look down by hanging off the ledge and drop down to the platform below. Cross the tightrope to find the Goddess Cube. |
29 | After finding all Goddess Cubes in the area, you will get the Water Dragon Scale. Afterwards, go south to the locked door leading to Lake Floria. |
30 | Use your sword and hold it up in front of the door. Draw the circle on the symbol to unlock the door. |
Lake Floria
1 | After going through the door, jump into the lake and follow the tunnel. In the next area, you will meet a Parella. Follow it afterwards. |

2 | Destroy the wooden barricades by using water attacks and continue following the Parella through the underwater path. |
3 | When you reach the open area, use dash attacks on the Froaks to destroy the boulders here for some items, including a Silver Rupee x1 in the boulder at the center of the room. |
4 | Destroy the boulder to the north and continue following the Parella until you come up to a locked gate. |
5 | Jump over the gate by doing a dash attack while swimming up. |
6 | Move forward and you will eventually reach the surface. From here, head for the Goddess Cube by turning around after you surface on the land. |
7 | Use the Bird Statue and open the treasure chest nearbyto get Goddess Plume x1. |
8 | Dive underwater again and follow the Parella. Jump over another barrier and use a dash attack on the Cranioc to stun it. Do another dash attack to take it out. |
9 | Enter the door ahead and talk to the Water Dragon. |
10 | After agreeing to find the Sacred Water (found in Skyview Temple), dive into the water and perform a dash attack upwards to reach the upper ground to your left. |
11 | Open the treasure chest at the end of the path to get Silver Rupee x1. Another treasure chest can be found on the other side as well. |
12 | Take exit to the northwest and use the Bird Statue. Afterwards, head back to Faron Woods by following the pathway on your right. |
13 | The log here can be knocked down, allowing you an easier passage to Floria Waterfall. |
14 | You can reach Skyview Temple by following the path that cuts through Faron Woods and Deep Woods. |
Skyview Temple Revisited
1 | Follow the path along the corridor until you run into a Mogma from the Eldin Volcano. |

2 | After talking to the Mogma, use your harp near areas where butterflies appear. When you do so, Goddess Symbols will appear on the walls. Hold your sword up in front of the symbols to draw patterns on them to obtain items. You will get Bomb x15 if you draw a circle, Rupee x10 if you draw a hexagon, Heart x10 if you draw a heart, and Fairy x10 if you draw the Triforce. |
3 | From the location of the Mogma, go right and pass through the opened shortcut. |
4 | Take out the enemies in the large room and exit through the door on the right. |
5 | Further ahead is a Mogma who will tell about a key he buried near the area. |
6 | Dive into the water and go through the hole on the left. Go up the vines and dig through the soft soil spot to find a Small Key x1. |
7 | Head back to the large room and open the locked door to the north. Take out the enemies here go north to another shortcut. |
8 | In the next large room with the tightrope, get behind the pillar on your right. |
9 | Use the Beetle and fly it across the tightrope while avoiding the arrows shot by the Bokoblin Archers. Use the bomb flower to take out the archers by dropping it on top of them. |
10 | Cross the tightrope and talk to the Mogma. Use the Bird Statue to save and go inside the room ahead. |
11 | Prepare to battle the three Stalfos. Use to destroy their arms temporarily making them open for sword attacks. Be sure to keep all three of them in view so you can anticipate any incoming attacks more easily. |
12 | After taking out the three Stalfos, exit to Skyview Spring. Head to the waterfall at the end to your left. Use an empty bottle to collect the Sacred Water x1. |
13 | You will the be teleported to Deep Woods. Afterwards, use the Bird Statue to travel to Floria Waterfall and talk to the Water Dragon. |
14 | After the Water Dragon opens the path to the Ancient Cistern, return to Skyloft first. |
Sky (Collecting Items)
1 | Four Goddess Chests can be accessed before going to the Ancient Cistern. |

2 | Head to the storage shed in Skyloft and dive into the water to a small cave near the waterfall. Open the regular chest and Goddess Chest on the other side to get Silver Rupee x1 and Heart Piece x1 respectively. |
3 | Go south from the Knight Academy in Skyloft and jump off from the wooden platform to the island. Open the Goddess Chest here to get Silver Rupee x1. |
4 | Go east from the Lanayru Region to reach the inner section of the island. Just above the upper ledge is the Goddess Chest that contains Heart Piece x1. |
5 | Go northeast of Thunderhead and climb up the vines to find another Goddess Chest holding a Rupee Medal x1. |
6 | Feel free to check out the Skyloft Bazaar for some equipment upgrades now that you have some of the materials required. |
7 | Drop by Beedle’s Air Shop as well to buy the Bug Medal, Piece of Heart, or another Adventure Pouch Slot. |
8 | When you are ready, travel to Lake Floria Waterfall again and go through the path that Faron opened to reach the Ancient Cistern. |
