Demise Final Boss Strategy
The best strategy for taking on Demise is to stay close to him and wait for him to swing. Time your shield block at the last moment to interrupt him and immediately slash at him once. Do this a few times and he will fall on his knees, giving you time to unload on him with more strikes.
Once you send Demise flying across the screen, the second phase of the fight begins. Try to get a little distance away from Demise and raise your sword to the sky to charge your Skyward Strike. Throw out the attack before Demise can attack you to damage him. Then, run of to him and follow-up with more sword attacks before he recovers. Do this repeatedly until he is knocked down flat on the ground again.
When Demise charges his own sword, jump back or dodge to the side to avoid the sword wave that he shoots out.
After knocking down Demise a second time during the second phase, you can finish him off using a fatal blow. If he gets up before you can go for the kill, knock him down a third time and try again until you defeat him.
