What to Do?

Rest at an inn, horse inn, or Link’s house

You can pass time by resting in the bed at the inn which costs rupees, staying in Horse Inn stables, or inside Link’s house.

Light a Bonfire

You can also the let time pass by making a bonfire. Place a bundle of firewood on the ground and use a flint, or attack with a fire weapon or fire arrow to light up the bonfire.

When raining, build fire under a tree

If you light a bonfire during the rain or a thunderstorm, the fire will go out.

While it is raining, make a bonfire in a dry place, such as under a tree, roof, or near the entrance of a building.

How to Check the Time

It is displayed in the lower right corner of the screen

The current time is displayed at the bottom right of the screen. In addition to the time, the current weather and the following weather are also visible.

How Time Passes

Morning, Noon, Night

When letting time pass by lighting up a bonfire or staying in bed, you can choose from three options: ” until morning “, ” until noon “, and ” until night “.

1 hour is 1 minute in the real world

Every minute in the real world is equivalent to in-game time of 1 hour.

Playing the game for 24 minutes gives you one whole day (24 hours).

A red moon occurs over time

Every after 7 in-game days have passed, a red moon will appear at 12:00 AM. When the red moon occurs, it has effects such as resets of defeated monsters and items in the field.
