St. Trina & Thiollier Questline Walkthrough and Guide for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree (SotET)

Below is a step-by-step walkthrough and guide of the St. Trina & Thoillier questline in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree (SotET), including how to complete the questline, the questline’s quest objectives, locations, solutions, items required, prerequisites, missable events, and obtainable rewards.

St. Trina & Thiollier Questline Summary

Progress in Thiollier’s Questline first.

Since Thiollier is related to this questline, complete all interactions and events with him to ensure his appearance in the quest locations before you proceed to the Stone Coffin Fissure.

Remove the seal of the Stone Coffin Fissure.

Head to the Shadow Keep to receive the message “Somewhere, a great rune has broken,”  which indicates that the entrance to the Stone Coffin Fissure has been unlocked. Note that it is highly recommended to complete the initial NPCs’ first quest in their respective questlines before breaking the seal of the Stone Coffin Fissure.

Defeat the Putrescent Knight.

The Putrescent Knight prevents you from reaching the Garden of Deep Purple. Therefore, you must defeat it in order to progress further in this questline. This boss can be found at the end of the Stone Coffin Fissure, which you can reach by traveling south from the Site of Grace: Castle Front.

Search for St. Trina and Thiollier in the Garden of Deep Purple.

Once the Putrescent Knight is defeated, enter the cave near the Site of Grace and listen to all of Thiollier’s dialogue. Afterwards, head to the Site of Grace: Pillar Path Cross and speak to Thiollier. Make sure that Thiollier will say that he will be moving to the Garden of Deep Purple, and if not, progress Moore’s and Thiollier’s questline further.

Drink St. Trina’s Nectar.

The main goal here is to hear St. Trina’s speak, which you can get by interacting and selecting the “Imbibe Nectar” option. Doing so will allow you to drink St. Trina’s nectar but will cost you your life. Keep drinking the nectar until you hear St. Trina’s speak to unlock the next quest objective.

Inform Thiollier about St. Trina.

After hearing St. Trina’s words, speak to Thiollier and tell him that St. Trina has chosen you over him. This will anger Thiollier, who will refuse to believe what you just said. Drink St. Trina’s nectar again and listen to her words.

Defeat Thiollier.

After you respawn, you will have to defeat Thiollier outside of the Garden of Deep Purple. Once you have successfully defeated him, listen to what he will say to progress further in this questline.

Drink St. Trina’s Nectar again.

Head back to St. Trina and drink her nectar again to hear her words. After respawning, speak to Thiollier and pass on the words of St. Trina. Doing so will unlock Thiollier as a summon, which you can utilize for the upcoming battles in the DLC.

Set the Sealing Tree on fire.

In order to complete this questline, you must set the Sealing Tree on fire. This will not only clear St. Trina’s and Thiollier’s quest but also progress Thiollier’s individual questline.

Speak to Thiollier at St. Trina’s cave.

Return to St. Trina and look for Thiollier, who is down on the ground. Listen to all of his dialogue, then drink St. Trina’s nectar one last time. After respawning, speak to Thiollier again and tell him about St. Trina’s last message. If Thiollier says “AH-HA,”  this means that you have done every step correctly and have successfully unlocked Thiollier as a gold summon.

Summon Thiollier before the Needle Knight Leda boss fight.

Head to Enir-Ilim and progress until you reach the golden summoning sign, which you will find in the area before the Needle Knight Leda boss fight. Summon Thiollier and Sir Ansbach to aid you in the battle and to progress further.

How to Get Thiollier’s Weapon and Armorset

Summon Thiollier before the final boss battle.

Before challenging the final boss in the DLC, summon Thiollier again by interacting with the golden summoning sign. After defeating the final boss, Thiollier will drop every piece of equipment he has, allowing you to get Thiollier’s Weapon and Armorset (Thiollier’s Hidden Needle, Thiollier’s Mask, Thiollier’s Garb, Thiollier’s Gloves, and Thiollier’s Trousers).
