New Game Plus Guide (NG+) for Elden Ring
How to Unlock New Game Plus (NG+)
After beating Elden Ring‘s main story, you will unlock New Game Plus (NG+) which allows you to start the game from the beginning with all of your stats, level, equipment, Runes carried over.
Being able to go through the game in its entirety again lets you unlock different endings and gives you access to new equipment, spells, and features that are only available after beating the main story.
Differences in NG+
NG+ features several differences from your previous playthrough to make the game both more challenging and rewarding.
- Increased regular enemy and boss HP
- Increased regular enemy and boss damage
- Increased Runes gained from defeating regular enemies and bosses
- New obtainable equipment from certain regular enemies and bosses (to be confirmed)
- New story events available (to be confirmed)
NG+ and Beyond
Beating the game for the first time allows you to begin NG+ when you continue your cleared game save file. Subsequent clears will continue to increase enemy difficulty by giving them more health and damage output than the previous playthrough. A run of the game after completing NG+ is called commonly called NG+1 and the run after that NG+2 (and so on).
Multiple NG+ clears is assumed to cap at NG+7 where any subsequent clears will no longer grant enemies more health and damage. Please note that this is currently being confirmed.
