Elden Ring Producer Yasuhiro Kitao has confirmed that the game’s main story will take roughly 30 hours to complete. In a livestream event, Mr. Kitao stated that the clear time for the game will “will differ significantly by player, but in terms of the targets set during development, the idea is that the main route should be able to be completed within around 30 hours.”

It is also worth mentioning that completing optional side quests and unlocking all of the game’s alternate endings is likely to add more hours spent on the game. This means that play time will increase significantly for players aiming for 100% completion.

Elden Ring is touted to be the most massive game in the Souls series, allowing players to explore the vast open world of the Lands Between. The degree of freedom to discover new areas has been expanded which will likely encourage players to take their time surveying their surroundings during their journey.
