Winter is coming for Ryu and his pals – and no, it doesn’t involve anyone that answers to the surname Stark. Capcom has announced that Street Fighter V will get a new character named Kolin. She will join the World Warriors roster via DLC for SFV’s Season 2 on February 28th, bringing the total number of fighters to 24.
Who is Kolin?
Kolin makes her debut as a playable character in the series after making a cameo appearance in Street Fighter III as one of the disciples of Gill, that game’s boss character. Dubbed as “The Phantasm of Snow and Ice”, she uses ice-based powers given to her by Gill to enhance her skills in the Russian martial art of Systema.
According to the post on the Capcom Unity website, Kolin will have a V-Skill called Inside Slash, and a V-Trigger called Diamond Dust. Her Critical Art(SF V’s equivalent of the Super Move) is called Frost Tower; this brutal move shows Kolin casting icicles across the ground and impaling the opponent before shattering the ice and letting the opponent fall to the ground.
The DLC for Kolin also comes with three costumes for her.

Capcom likewise teased the introduction of four more characters for Street Fighter V. The last character to be announced as part of the game before Kolin was Akuma, in December of 2016.
