Square Enix reveals a new mobile game on E3 2019
With the success of Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius (FF:BE), which surpassed a whopping 39 million downloads, Square Enix presents a new IP titled War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius.
A game co-developed with Gumi Inc., War of the Visions is a tactical RPG spin-off from the main series. The story revolves around Ardora, a continent where power is split between five states. The red lion, who possesses the power of visions, governs Leonis. To the west, the wise king who upholds peace governs the great Kingdom of Horne. In Fennes, power rests on the king of the savages who took up arms to fashion one of the mightiest military states. To the east lies the great eastern kingdom of Wezette where a despot reigns over the icy tundra. Last, but not the least, is the religious city-state of believers, the Crystal Sanctum, whose founder claims to be God himself. Each state must wage war against the others for the sake of their homeland.
While its predecessor was a collaboration between Square Enix and Alim, Square Enix will co-develop War of the Visions with Gumi Inc. to deliver this new tactics game while likely retaining the former’s gatcha elements.
War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius does not have a release date yet. However, the game will be released worldwide on smartphones.
