The Shirtless Mario screenshot is seen by thousands of tweeter users in the world. In just a matter of seconds, the Shirtless Mario image is now a meme. Although this is not the first time that Mario wears something different, it is the first time we saw him without any top.

On the weird side of things, it seems that fans are focusing on Mario’s nipples. This is mainly because it was the first time that the famous plumber ever showed that body part in the game. For most people, the nipples were a confirmation that Mario is human. Given that there are several fans theories suggesting that Mario and his brother Luigi are not human.

Kenta Motokura, director of Super Mario Odyssey, when asked why Mario looked different from average humans, stated:

“In the world, there are many different types of people, you know.”

Although the statement may be sarcastic, Motokura may have meant that such things should not be a topic for debate. For him and several fans, it is not important if Mario is human or not as long as his games are great.

It seems that a single image was able to debunk these outrageous fan theories in an instant. However, only time will tell as to when the other famous Nintendo characters will be proven to be human as well.

Shirtless Mario will appear in Super Mario Odyssey which comes out on October 27, 2017 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
