The Last of Us Part 2 Requires 78.3 GB of Storage

The Last of Us Part 2, Naughty Dog’s highly anticipated sequel to the critically-acclaimed survival horror game, is set for release on June 19th, 2020. With just three weeks remaining before its launch, a leaked screenshot of what appears to be the game’s file size was posted on the game’s subbredit.

As seen on the screenshot above, The Last of Us Part 2 will require 78.3 GB of HDD storage space on the Playstation 4. This is the largest file size for any PS4-exclusive game to come out so far, excluding Final Fantasy 7 Remake which stands at 90.66 GB but is a timed exclusive title.

Other game companies have developed PS4-exclusive games with quite the heft, though nowhere near as massive as Naughty Dog’s upcoming action title. Big games such as Uncharted 4, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and God of War are all within the 40 GB range, with the first at 48 GB, the second at 45 GB, and the third at 44.46 GB.

Be sure to clear out your PS4’s hard drive before The Last of Us Part 2’s release date, especially if you plan on buying the digital version of the game amid these trying times of a global pandemic.
