Best Faith Builds for PVE in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree (SotET)

Build Overview

Faith builds in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree (SotET) focus on casting Faith-scaling Incantations against foes in battle. They gain increased survivability thanks to strong healing magic while having access to offensive spells to be effective at long range.

Similar to Sorcery builds (and their hybrids), Faith builds also make good use of melee armaments that scale with their main stat. These weapons can be used in synergy with Incantations or as backup armaments when the player runs out of FP.

Prophet and Confessor

The Prophet and Confessor are the best starting classes for Faith builds owing to their high initial Faith stat. The Prophet, in particular, enjoys the highest starting Faith stat value out of all classes in the beginning of the game.

Recommended Faith Build Stat Progression

Below is a breakdown of the recommended stat progression for Faith builds. Key (primary) stats are indicated in green.

Level 50

The key stat Faith should be increased up to around 30 to 35 to be able to deal respectable damage with Incantations. This also affects the amount of HP restored by healing Incantations so prioritize raising the stat as much as possible

It is also important to invest some points into Mind to increase your FP. Doing so let you cast more spells without having to recover via items or going to a campsite.

Along the way, try to raise your as Vigor to a good amount which is around 30 at level 50.

Level 100

The end-goal for the Faith build when you reach level 100 is to be close to or around 60 Faith. This value is high enough for your character to dish out significant damage on enemies using various offensive Incantations and Faith-scaling weapons while also replenishing a healthy amount of your HP with restorative spells.

Towards the late- and post-game stages, you want to shoot for at most 80 Faith which is the final soft-cap for the stat that yields enough reasonable benefit for this build.

It is also at this time that you should start increasing either Strength or Dexterity to be able to wield certain Faith-scaling weapons in the game. Most, though not all, armaments that suit Faith builds tend to scale with Strength (in the same way that most Intelligence-scaling weapons need some amount of Dexterity) so it is recommended to prioritize the stat as you reach level 100.
