Can be accessed in Mohgwyn Palace after beating Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood.

To begin the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree (SotET) DLC main story questline, you must first defeat the optional bosses Starscourge Radahn at Redmane Castle and Mohg, Lord of Blood at Mohgwyn Palace.

Interact with the withered arm at Cocoon of the Empyrean (Mohg boss area) to reach the Land of Shadow expansion area.

After beating Radahn and Mohg, simply return to the latter’s boss area (Cocoon of the Empyrean Site of Grace) at Mohgwyn Palace. Interact with the withered arm behind the boss arena to be transported to the Realm of Shadow and begin the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC scenario.

Recommended Level for Shadow of the Erdtree DLC

Around Level 125 to 150.

Before attempting to begin the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC questline, it is recommended to have leveled your character from around rune level 125 to 150. This range will more or less allow you to deal decent damage to and keep up with most of the new enemies and bosses encountered in the Land of Shadow.

Note however that, with enough skill and persistence, the DLC is completely doable on any level below the recommended.

Collecting Scadutree Fragments is also important when venturing into the DLC region.

Special collectibles called Scadutree Fragments can be used at any Site of Grace to grant you Scadutree Blessings which are permanent buffs exclusive to the DLC.

Upon gaining a blessing, you will be able to deal more damage and reduce those that you incur against enemies while exploring the Land of Shadow. This will help you progress more smoothly in the DLC when taking on various regular enemies and bosses.
