How to Unlock Hermit’s Cave in Lies of P
What is Hermit’s Cave?
Hermit’s Cave is a secret area in Lies of P. It is an entirely optional location as there are not main story events that require you to go there. In the Barren Swamp Bridge, if you go right of the Stargazer you will see a gate. Hermit’s Cave is located beyond this closed gate.
Steps to Enter Hermit’s Cave
In order to open the gate and enter Hermit’s Cave, you must meet a set of requirements which are described below.
| 1 | Talk to Rookie Explorer Hugo (NPC near the closed gate) until he runs out of dialogue and gives you the Cryptic Vessel. |
|---|---|
| 2 | Go back to Hotel Krat and give Venigni the Cryptic Vessel. |
| 3 | Progress through the story until you reach the top of the building with all the swordsmen in the Collapsed Street. |
| 4 | Drop down to the side where you can see a fire-spitting puppet walking around. Then, go past the puppet to collect the Special Krat Supply Box from the chest. |
| 5 | Go back to Hotel Krat and give Polendina the Special Krat Supply Box. |
| 6 | Buy the Rusty Cryptic Vessel from Polendina’s updated shop. |
| 7 | Give the Rusty Cryptic Vessel to Venigni for decryption. |
| 8 | Go back to the Barren Swamp Bridge Stargazer to see that the gate is now open and the path to Hermit’s Cave has been unlocked. |
