March 8 may very well be the start of a new chapter in the gaming history of the Dark Knight, if a teaser from IGN France turns out to be true. This is after the company tweeted a “Save the Date” with graphic elements that look very much like the ones used to tease previous entries in the Batman: Arkham franchise.

Rocksteady Studios was at the development helm of most of the games in the franchise, including the the latest installment of the acclaimed superhero game series, Batman: Arkham Knight. WB Games Montreal is no stranger to making Batman games, though, with their take on the Dark Knight in Batman: Arkham Origins. The presence of a new developer at the reins may mean that there are more Batman games forthcoming.

WB Games Montreal was previously connected to a Suicide Squad game that was rumored to be in development, but it appears that it has been shelved in favor of the Arkham franchise. It remains to be seen if any of the assets from the Suicide Squad will make its way into the new game.

Potential spoilers for new Batman: Arkham game?

A former WB employee recently posted potential spoilers for the game on Reddit, including the title, said to be Batman: Arkham Insurgency, and the timeframe, which is about three years after the events of Arkham Origins. The employee also leaked that the Dick Grayson Robin will be in the game, and the duo will take on simultaneous mass breakouts from Arkham Asylum and Blackgate Penitentiary. WB Games Montreal also plans to release the game by the last quarter of 2017, said the employee.
