Meganium
Meganium is the final form of Chikorita. Based off the Brachiosaurus, Meganium has a light green coloured massive body. Antennae stick out from its head with a pink flower surrounding its neck like a collar.
It has two stamen-like protrusions sprouting from the top of its nose, each tipped with its own anther. These protrusions are shorter on the female. It has four feet, each of which have three toes. Large pink flower petals with a yellow central pattern and white tips encircle its neck. Additionally, it has a short, pointed tail. Meganium’s petals can release an aroma that can soothes anyone that comes in contact with it. Any dead plant it breaths on comes back to life. Its powerful and soothing regenerative powers can even come about by being around it, giving those who stand near the impression of being in a clean and lush forest. This pokémon is docile in nature, compared to most.
How to obtain Meganium
When trying to search for the pokémon, what you’ll actually find is its base form, Chikorita. Use the island scanner when on Melemele island and on a Friday. After performing the scan, Chikorita should be appearing on Route 2.
If you raise Chikorita up to Lv 16, you will obtain Bayleaf. By level 32, Bayleaf evolves into Meganium.
Meganium in Battle
Meganium in battle is known for its defensive stats or what players call a Physical Wall, similar to Tangela. Because of its lack of offensive capability, it takes a more supportive position. Since it’s also mono-Grass, it’s susceptible to weaknesses common to its type such as Fire, Bug, or Flying type. It’s Overgrowth helps if it has Giga Drain but not as much. This also makes it susceptible to sweeper pokémon such as Raichu and Ninetales. To make due with its defensive capabilities, it’s normally given Leftovers to hold and and has a Calm HP with pure HP EV focus or pure Sp. Def EV focus with 4 extra points to Defense.
