So what is the Pokémon Resort?
The Pokémon Resort is a new feature in Sun and Moon that allows you to have your inactive Pokémon enjoy and explore even if they’re not battling alongside you. When you deposit your Pokémon, they won’t just sit around and do nothing all day. With the new Poké-pelago, the Pokémon inside your box get to explore and find tools to help in the long run.
While staying inside your PokéStorage, the Pokémon can explore and play around in the islands around. The resort is composed of several different islands that allow your Pokémon to better themselves even without them directly engaging battle. The Pokémon Resort has all sorts of engagements. Check out the new islands below!
Carefree Island
Since it’s a free-for-all, there are times that even wild Pokémon can venture around there. They can engage your Pokémon which can result to fighting them. But that doesn’t mean you have to keep fighting them. Sometimes, they can have special abilities that will help you further on in the game.
These wild Pokémon also give you certain items that can help develop the resort into a better place for your stored Pokémon. When you have more tools, you have more spots and options on how to develop the islands.
Heartbeat Island
When they go through the island, Pokémon venturing there can find all sorts of useful things. Rare objects such as evolution stones can be found there too. You can also plant also in the resort and while doing that, train your Pokémon. If you have a Pokémon you want to train but it’s too low a level to bring around, you can put them in the resort. While in the area, your Pokémon also gain EXP while exploring around. And by doing so, they can easily level up so that you can bring them into battle after.
So, there’s no need to worry about your stored Pokémon. While you’re training your main championship team, your stored Pokémon can also train alongside you so that you have no problems in switching out for a different kind of pokemon.
