Resident Evil 3 Demo Release Date Revealed
With less than a month prior to release, Capcom announces Resident Evil 3’s demo titled “The Raccoon City Demo.” The playable demo is scheduled to hit the virtual shelves on March 19.
Based on the trailer, there’s a great chance that the demo covers playable sections of Jill Valentine’s brave efforts to assist in the evacuation of any remaining civilians amidst the t-Virus outbreak. The trailer also gave a glimpse of the new type bio-organic weapon, Nemesis, and alludes to the horrific classic encounters.
What to expect
Aside from the standard exploration that demo often covers, it also invites players on a scavenger hunt, an optional quest to seek out collectibles which is reminiscent of Resident Evil 7’s Mr. Everwhere and Resident Evil 2’s Mr. Raccoon. These items come as Mr. Charlie statuettes, and encourage players to investigate each area thoroughly if they wish to collect all 20 of them. Think of it as a warm up for the upcoming full game.
What’s more, after completing the demo, players can unlock an all-new exclusive cinematic.
Resident Evil Resistance Demo
Aside from Resident Evil 3, Capcom teases that the upcoming multiplayer asymmetric horror game, Resident Evil Resistance, will appear on March 27. Fans can expect to join an open beta test which showcases Daniel Frabron, one of the game’s criminal masterminds.
Whether you’ve played an asymmetric game before or not, don’t miss out on the chance to join the open beta testing to learn and get a grip of the mode yourself.
The open beta ends when Resident Evil 3 makes its official debut on April 3.
