A trial guide waits at the beginning of Route 5, and tells you to defeat all the trainers on Route 5 as part of your challenge. After beating the twins near the trial guide, move onwards.
You will encounter Hau, who just got defeated by another trainer. He asks you who you are, and introduces himself as Gladion, a Team Skull member. Gladion then challenges you to a battle.
Gladion starts the contest with a Level 17 Zubat, then uses a Level 17 Type:Null. Choose a Fighting-type Pokemon to go against Type:Null, since it is weak to Fighting-type attacks.
Two other Team Skull members will approach Gladion when you beat him. One of the Skull grunts is about to challenge you, but Gladion calls them off. The other grunt reveals that if Gladion hadn’t gotten in their way, they would have had stolen the Totem Pokemon from Brooklet Hill. The two grunts leave, but tell Gladion that he isn’t and will never be part of Team Skull. Gladion leaves along with the grunts.
Hau gives you three revives for helping him out, and says he must train harder.
Walk back to the starting point and move up. There is a Super Potion in the clearing after the Trial Guide. Defeat the trainer and move on. The path curves back to where you and Hau fought Gladion. A pair of trainers are waiting in the area.
Before moving on to Brooklet Hill, walk down and to the right to the fork in the road. Follow the path, going left then up to the dead end between two ponds to get TM57, Charge Beam.
Go further on the path. Get the berries under the tree after defeating the Crabrawler. A trainer will challenge you here if he sees you. Walk on up the path to reach the Pokemon Center. Heal your party if you need to and stock up on supplies before taking on the remaining Route 5 trainers.
Exit Route 5 to Brooklet Hill to the left of the Pokemon Center.

Lana will meet you at the floating bridge on Brooklet Hill and asks you to come with her. Cross the bridge, defeat the trainer, and get the Net Ball lying on the ground behind him.
Go through the grassy area. When you reach the target area, a cutscene with Lana will happen. She will ask you to investigate the splashing that is coming from the lake. To help you do this, she registers Lapras in your Ride Pager. Ride the Lapras to the splashing in the middle of the lake.
Totem Pokemon Battle: Wishiwashi
The battle with Brooklet Hill’s Totem Pokemon, Wishiwashi, is divided into three parts. A single Lv.17 Wishiwashi will appear the first time you approach the splashing in the lake. Use a Grass- or Electric-type Pokemon to take it out easily.
Once you defeat it, Lana will note that the splashing has moved to another lake. Go to the left-hand side of the lake you are in (Pick up the Revive in this area) and follow the path to the lower lake. Lana will meet you there, and show you the splashing of the Wishiwashi there. A Lv.18 Wishiwashi will appear once you get close to the splashing.
Lana notices even more splashing coming from yet another lake. She takes you to investigate. Heads up though, as there is another trainer hidden in the reeds that will challenge you.
Follow Lana down to the third lake. She reveals that you have taken on the trial and need to face the Wishiwashi again. Go into the water and ride towards the splashing. The Wishiwashi have combined into their giant School form and attacks you!
Just like before, a Grass or Electric-type Pokemon will come in handy in the battle against the Totem Wishiwashi. Using Razor Leaf is recommended, especially when the Totem calls for allies, since it can hit multiple opponents at the same time.
Lana will give you the Waterium Z Crystal once you beat the Totem Wishiwashi. You can now fish in the lakes of Brooklet Hill, because she will also give you the Fishing Rod and 10 Dive Balls. Lana will then ask you to deal with a pair of Sudowoodo on Route 5, and escort you back to the Pokemon Center.

You battle Dexio in Sun. Dexio’s team is a level 15 Slowpoke and a level 16 Espeon. I see that you are a Moon player, so I’ll suggest this edit because I’ve played Sun before (but mainly Moon).
P.S Keep up the good work!
At Paniola Ranch, you can also rarely find Miltank. Miltank isn’t currently listed under the Paniola Ranch – Pokemon Encounters section, so I figured I’d suggested this small edit. Anyway, overall, I’m happy with the site and it is very dependable. I want to say, thank you Samurai-Gamers for providing helpful free resources to the gaming community!
