The Cascade Kingdom Purple Coin or Local Coin is shaped like the wheel that is said to have been invented by prehistoric men. These purple coins are scattered around Fossil Falls.

Purple Coin Locations

Set 1 (x3)

Found behind the rocks to the south of the Odyssey.

Set 2 (x3)

Found near the waterfalls to the right (on a lower platform)

Set 3 (x3)

Below the bridge. Dive down the river to get the purple coins.

Set 4 (x3)

On the lower platform to the right before the path towards the Chain Chomp.

Set 5 (x3)

Behind the rocks to the left of the Chain Chomp.

Set 6 (x3)

Beneath the triceratops fossil. Throw Cappy at the transparent question mark hats to reveal platforms for Mario to jump on. (Defeat Madame Broode first to get these purple coins)

Set 7 (x3)

Beneath the waterfall. Dive down the river to get the purple coins.

Set 8 (x4)

Obtained by reaching the highest point near the end of the 8-bit Mario section. You must use the platforms going up to reach the area.

Set 9 (x3)

Obtained by jumping on the transparent hat platforms in the area.

Set 10 (x3)

Obtained by jumping on the stone blocks near the Chain Chomp.

Set 11 (x4)

Use the Chain Chomp to destroy the breakable wall in the area. Go through the revealed green pipe and move forward towards the cliff until you see the lower platform where the purple coins are located.

Set 12 (x3)

Behind the rocks near the pole.

Set 13 (x3)

Jump on the stone blocks in the area to get the purple coins.

Set 14 (x3)

Beneath the structure where the T-Rex sleeps. The coins are to the right of the structure.

Set 15 (x3)

Walk to the left of the three Chain Chomps and then walk around. You will see a hidden path where there are several transparent hats. Hit the hats to reveal platforms that Mario can jump on to get the purple coins.

Set 16 (x3)

At the area where you fought Madame Broode, there are several platforms that you can jump on to get a Power Moon and three purple coins. Time your jump when reaching towards the purple coins as the platform they are situated in is quite distant.
