Pokemon Legends: Arceus features several Legendary Pokemon that you can catch throughout the game. True to their status, they are among the most powerful Pokemon you can obtain and are essential if you want to complete the Hisui Pokedex.

How to get Dialga and Palkia

Both Dialga and Palkia can be caught during the game’s main story. Depending on whose help you ask for during the main mission Disaster Looming, you will either get Dialga or Palkia first. Asking Adaman to accompany you to the three lakes lets you obtain Dialga first, while choosing Irida allows you to get Palkia first. Either way, you will always get both Pokemon at the end of the game.

Description Description Description
A Pokemon feared but also respected for stealing away the memories of evildoers. I have found records that suggest Uxie holds dominion over knowledge. Known as the Being of Emotion. In legend, this Pokemon was feared, as any who showed disrespect would have their emotions thrown into disarray. The dreaded Being of Willpower. Legends tell of this Pokémon manipulating the will of its adversaries and turning them into puppets of its own.

The Plate of the Lakes The Plate of the Lakes The Plate of the Lakes

The trio of Legendary Psychic Pokemon can be found at different locations once you have cleared the main story. Follow Volo to Cogita’s house at the Ancient Retreat and talk to her to unlock The Plate of the Lakes post-game mission.

To catch Mesprit, go to Lake Verity in Obsidian Fieldlands and defeat or catch the Alpha Goodra to obtain a piece of the Red Chain. Then, head to Lake Acuity in Alabaster Icelands and defeat or catch the Alpha Zoroark there. When Uxie asks you a question, answer with 60131 to get the next piece of the Red Chain. Finally, go to Lake Valor in Crimson Mirelands and defeat or catch the Alpha Qwilfish. When Azelf appears and ask you to hit it with balms, do so without giving up. You will eventually get the last piece of the Red Chain from it.

Once you have finished reassembling the Red Chain, you will be able to catch each of the Legendary Psychic Pokemon at their respective cave lairs.

Heatran is also encountered after beating the game. Head to the Ancient Retreat and talk to Cogita again to begin the post-game mission The Plate of Firespit Island.

Afterwards, go to Firespit Island of Cobalt Coastlands. Enter the cave of the volcano to the northwest.

Heatran will have a flaming barrier when you first encounter it in the cave. Use mud balls found on the ground to disable its shield which will allow you to engage it in battle to catch it.

Cresselia

To catch Cresselia, speak with Cogita again at the Ancient Retreat to begin the post-game mission The Plate of Moonview Arena. As the quest’s name suggests, Cresselia is found at Moonview Arena of Cobalt Coastlands. When you try to approach the Pokemon, it will radiate an aura that will disorient you. Wait for the aura to dissipate before engaging her in battle to catch her.

This storm-stirring Pokemon is said to cause the seasons to turn by whipping up the air. I suspect its humanlike form to be a false one.

The three Legendary Genie Pokemon are encountered during the post-game request The Incarnate Forces of Hisui. To unlock this request, you must clear the post-game mission Seeking the Remaining Plates. Afterwards, head to the Galaxy Team’s request board to find this request.

Landorus can be found in Ramanas Island of Obsidian Fieldlands. Thundurus, meanwhile, is located in Cobalt Coastlands near the camp by the water during heavy rain. Lastly, Tornadus is found in Alabaster Icelands during a blizzard.

The Incarnate Forces of Hisui

After catching Landorus, Thundurus, and Tornadus, speak to Cogita at the Ancient Retreat. This will allow you to catch Enamorus at the Scarlet Bog of Crimson Mirelands.

Once you have obtained all Legendary Genie Pokemon, speak to Cogita again to get the Reveal Glass key item which lets you transform Landorus, Thundurus, Tornadus, and Enamorus into their respective Therian Formes.

How to Get Giratina

Giratina can be found during the post-game request On the Trail of Giratina which is accessed at the Galaxy Team HQ’s request board. The Legendary Pokemon is in Turnback Cave of Cobalt Coastlands upon clearing the post-game mission Seeking the Remaining Plates. Note that this requires you to defeat Volo who himself will use the Lv. 70 Giratina (Altered Forme) against you in battle.

How to get Arceus

Arceus can only be obtained after clearing the post-game mission Seeking the Remaining Plates. After acquiring the Azure Flute, you must catch all 242 Pokemon in the Pokedex (with the exception of Darkrai and Shaymin). Then, head to the dais at the Temple of Sinnoh and use the Azure Flute to summon Arceus, allowing you to battle and acquire it.

How to Catch Arceus

Similar to Frenzied Pokemon battles, you will need to deplete Arceus’ boss gauge by throwing Mysterious Balms at it while avoiding it relentless barrage of attacks.

Obtainable Items

Item Description
Legend Plate A stone tablet imbued with the essence of all creation. When used on a certain Pokemon, it allows that Pokemon to gain the power of every type there is.
