What are Rare Candies?
Rare Candies are a type of consumable item that automatically increases your Pokemon’s level by 1 when used. Because of their effects, they are quite sought after in the game as a convenient way to level-up fast.

Where to Find Rare Candies
Missions
Rare Candies can be obtained for clearing various missions so simply progressing through the game allows you to obtain a few of the item.
Requests
Rare Candies are also rewarded for completing different requests. Try to do as many of these optional quests as you can to accumulate a good stock of Rare Candies to use during your adventure.
Trading Post Merit Points Exchange (to be confirmed)
While not yet confirmed in official material, it is likely that Rare Candies can be obtained by exchanging Merit points at the Jubilife Trading Post. More information on this will be added when the game comes out.

Use on them on high-level Pokemon.
It is generally recommended to use Rare Candies on Pokemon that have reached high levels to save you the trouble of spending time grinding experience.
