How to Get Arceus in Pokemon Legends: Arceus
Only Obtainable During the Post-Game Stages
Pokemon Legends: Arceus‘ titular Pokemon can only be encountered after clearing the game’s main story and reaching the end of the post-game mission route. While the revered Legendary Pokemon is frequently hinted throughout the game, it is only after meeting specific requirements that you will get a chance to obtain it.
Where to Find Arceus
Appears at the dais of the Temple of Sinnoh after obtaining the Azure Flute and catching all Hisui Pokemon
Arceus is found at the dais of the Temple of Sinnoh during the final post-game mission The Deified Pokemon once you have obtained the Azure Flute and have caught all Pokemon in the game (with the exception of Arceus of course). To get the Azure Flute, simply progress through the post-game until the final battle with Volo during the mission Seeking the Remaining Plates. Afterwards, the Celestica Flute will transform into the Azure Flute.
The final requirement to get Arceus is to obtain all Pokemon in the game, excluding the Mythical Pokemon Darkrai and Shaymin (Land Forme). Once you have done so, head to the Temple of Sinnoh and use the flute to reach Arceus’ location.
Arceus is fought similarly to Frenzied Pokemon in the game. You simply need to throw Mysterious Balms at it to capture it as it bombards you with homing attacks. It will occasionally do its area-of-effect (AoE) attack so time your dodge to avoiding getting hit. Once you have depleted Arceus’ boss gauge, you will be able to obtain it as your Pokemon.
Catching Arceus also lets you acquire the Legend Plate, a special item that allows the deity Pokemon to gain every typing in the game.
