Is There Permadeath in The DioField Chronicle?
No Permadeath in the Game
The DioField Chronicle currently does not feature any form of Permadeath mechanic throughout the main story campaign. This means that any units killed during a mission will not disappear for the remainder of the game.
Losing characters in the middle of skirmishes, however, is extremely disadvantageous so you will want to revive any fallen allies soon as possible by sending friendly units to rescue them.
Permadeath mode may be added in a future update
While there has yet to be any confirmation from official sources, it is possible that permadeath will be added as an update in the future. This mode could come in the form of a built-in mechanic for a new and more challenging difficulty setting or as a separate game mode entirely. This may not apply to main story units but to optional units in the game.
