Chapter 1: Way of Life Walkthrough

Prologue

1	Watch a cutscene.
2	Clear Rescue Mission battle. (Recommended Level 5 or higher.) Rescue Mission Battle Guide
3	Main Quest cleared. (Andrias, Fredret, and Izelair joins your army.)
4	Main Quest feature and Mercenary Unit Rank 1 are now unlocked.

Main Quest: An Anxious Archer

1	Watch a cutscene.
2	After speaking to Lorraine, Mercenary Unit Rank is now unlocked. View your map and visit the Shop facility. If you have DLC weapon and accessories, claim them inside the blue chest nearby.
3	Buy new weapons for your units (i.e. Cutlass for Adrias, Steel Lance for Fredret, and Bronze Sword for Izelair). Buy newer weapons will give you access to new active skills.
4	Buy an extra HP potion and attached it to your usable items. Always make it a point to have two HP potions before you engage in a mission battle.
5	After that speak to Izelair in the central area and Fredret inside the small room. Then, talk to Lorraine in the mission room.
6	Clear End the Bandit Menace battle. (Recommended Level 6 or higher.) End the Bandit Menance Battle Guide
7	Main Quest cleared and receive 2 SP. (Iscarion joins your army.)
8	Mercenary Unit Rank 2 is now unlocked.

Main Quest: The Noble’s Arrival

1	From the entrance, head to the newly unlocked Institute where Izelair is located.
2	After speaking to Izelair, use the Institute facility.
3	Improve some class skills (i.e. Shield Wall and Shield Bash for Soldiers, Mounted Charge for Cavaliers, Fantail Formation for Sharpshooters).
4	Talk to Izelair again. Then, approach Lorraine in the mission room.
5	Clear Redditch Estate Recon battle. (Recommended Level 7 or higher.) Redditch Estate Recon Battle Guide
6	Return to Elm Camp. (Waltaquin joins your army.)
7	Main Quest cleared and receive 500 gold. Also, the Sub Quests feature is now unlocked.

Sub Quest: Coin for Comrades

1	Head back to the institute.
2	Look for the Mercenary and speak to him.
3	Give 1,500 to the Mercenary.
4	Mercenary Unit Rank 2 – Shop facility to Rank 2.

Main Quest: The Chains that Bind

1	Look for Waltaquin and speak to her.
2	After speaking to Waltaquin, return to Lorraine in the mission room. Then, go back to the institute.
3	Talk to the Researcher.
4	Improve some character abilities (i.e. Fast Hitter Lv.2 and Technique Boost Lv.2 for Andrias, HP Boost Lv.2 and Strong Constitution Lv.2 for Fredret, Luck Boost Lv.2 and Auto-Attack Boost Lv.2 for Iscarion, Skill Damage Boost Lv.2 and EP Boost Lv.2 for Walaquin, and Auto-Attack Defense Boost Lv.2 and Strong Constitution Lv.1 for Izelair).
5	Clear Coswell Volcano Expedition battle. (Recommended Level 9 or higher.) Coswell Volcano Expedition Battle Guide
6	Return to Elm Camp and speak to the Researcher. (Goldhorne Magilumic Orb acquired.)
7	Also, the Practice Battle feature is now unlocked.
8	Before you leave, replenish your HP item supply, equip Goldhorne as a usable summon along with Bahamut, and buy accessories for your units if you still have extra gold. (Ring for Iscarion, Necklace for Waltaquin.)
9	Return to Waltaquin and Lorraine in the mission room.
10	Clear The Horace Threat battle. (Recommended Level 9 or higher.) The Horace Threat Battle Guide
11	Main Quest cleared and receive 500 gold.
12	Mercenary Unit Rank 2 – Magilumic Orb Research facility to Rank 2.

Sub Quest: Blade of Admonition

1	Talk to Izelair.
2	Watch a brief cutscene with Izelair.
3	Get 500 gold.

Sub Quest: One’s Blade and a Mercenary Path

1	Talk to Lorraine in the mission room.
2	Clear Central Knights’ Exercises battle. (Recommended Level 11 or higher.) Central Knights’ Exercises Battle Guide
3	Return to Elm Camp. Speak to Lorraine again in the mission room.

Main Quest: Approaching Demise

1	Talk to Iscarion first. Then, speak to Lorraine in the mission room.
2	Clear Escort the Archbishop battle. (Recommended Level 11 or higher.) Escort the Archbishop Battle Guide
3	Main Quest cleared and receive 500 gold.
