Status Effects in The DioField Chronicle
Below is a list of all beneficial and negative status effects in The DioField Chronicle. Status conditions greatly effect the performance of each unit and can easily turn the tide of battle during missions.
Removing and Countering Debuffs and Status Ailments
Most status effects last only for a fixed duration. Some debuffs and ailments, however, can be removed earlier with the use of items, skills, or specific actions. You can also purchase various accessories to gain increased resistance against various negative status conditions.
Beneficial Status Effects (Buffs)
Status | Effects |
---|---|
Strengthening | Increases damage dealt. |
Toughness | Reduces damage received. |
Acceleration | Increases movement, attack, and skill cooldown speed. |
Negative Status Effects (Debuffs and Status Ailments)
Status | Effects |
---|---|
Poison | Unit takes damage equal to 5% of max HP for every attack or skill executed. Wears off after 5 actions. |
Burn | Unit takes damage continuously. |
Stun | Unit is unable to act for a brief duration. |
Freeze | Unit is unable to act for a long duration. |
Sleep | Unit is unable to act. Wears off after taking damage. |
Slow | Unit suffers lowered movement, attack, and skill cooldown speed. |
Foothold | Unit is unable to move. |
Weakness | Unit deals halved damage to enemies. |
Frailty | Unit receives 50% more damage from enemies. |
Provoke | Unit will automatically attack an enemy that cast provoke on it. |
