Best Fire Persona 1: Seth (Moon)

Seth Persona Overview

One of the two strongest Fire Personas in the game is Seth who has access to high-damage Fire skills like Agidyne and Maragidyne. Seth’s offensive potential with Fire attacks is further boosted by Fire Amp and Fire Break, allowing him to easily burst down even foes with strong Fire resistance.

Seth has the upper-hand when dealing with enemies that use Ice and Light skills as he can ignore damage from the former and bounce back the latter.

For single-target damage, Surt outclasses Seth as the former has the extremely powerful fire skill Ragnarok. Feel free to switch between the two depending on your current party and the situation in battle.

Surt Persona Overview

Surt is the best Persona for dealing the most single-target Fire damage, owing to its fearsome Ragnarok skill (unique). Surt also enjoys a wide arsenal of offensive abilities that target one ore more enemies with Physical and Magic damage. These impressive traits allow Surt to make quick work of most regular enemies encountered during the late-stages.

Getting Surt also affords you the benefit of getting its Blazing Flame Heart Item via Conception. This is an extremely useful item for Mitsuru as it can nullify incoming Fire damage aimed at her, essentially eliminating her weakness to it in battle.

This ability boasts excellent damage to one target in addition to applying Freeze, making it one of the best skills to use against bosses who are vulnerable to Ice. Skadi’s damage numbers are further improved with Ice Amp, making this Persona all the more deadly with Ice skills.

Skadi’s weakness to fire is cancelled out once it learns Absorb Fire at level 84, allowing the Persona to regain HP when hit with Fire skills. Finally, Skadi has impressive options for survivability as it can cast Tetrakarn to brush off any Physical attack (one time) for the entire party.

Odin gains even more damage output upon learning Elec Amp at level 60, making him a force to be respected even by bosses with Elec resistance.

For dealing with groups of Shadows, Odin can throw out Maziodyne which is not as powerful as Thunder Reign but is capable of applying Shock to an entire enemy team.

Odin also has Spell Master that halves SP consumption for magic skills. This allows him to constantly spam his fearsome Electric attacks and keep the pressure going for longer before the foe can reapply buffs or use healing skills in battle.

For clearing out mobs of Shadows weak to Wind, Norn can use Magarudyne. This makes Norn especially useful for exploring the higher Tartarus floors along with its ability to automatically regain HP and SP in battle that can save you items for later.

The chance to wipe out targets using these abilities is further boosted by Hama boost, allowing Daisoujou to wipe out the entire enemy team as well as certain mini bosses that are not immune to the instant death effect.

Leveling up Daisoujou to 58 grants it Null Dark which completely eliminates its weakness to Dark skills. This means that Dark-type instant death skills will not affect Daisoujou himself.

Alice Persona Overview

The strongest Dark Persona is Alice who wields a unique (uninheritable) Dark skill that can trigger instant death to all enemies in battle. Her ability to wipe out foes in a flash is further increased thanks to Mudo Boost which she learns at level 62.

These skills essentially make her the Dark-type counterpart to Daisoujou, though Alice also boasts access to useful debuffs, an SP drain attack, and being able to reflect Dark skills rather than nullifying them.

Despite her superior utility over Daisoujou, Alice does not have any convenient means to go around her weakness to Light damage. Because of this, you will need to resort to using Skill Cards and gear to protect yourself from Light-based attacks, especially those that apply instant death.
