How to Inherit Skills

Material skills can be inherited by Persona fusion.

Persona skills can be inherited from the material skills to a new Persona via Persona fusion. Skills that the Persona does not learn when leveling up can also be transferred this way.

Skill inheritance is an important element in the game as it allows you to create a Persona that can respond to various situations in battle or the strongest Persona.

Skills that are not compatible cannot be inherited.

Skills cannot be inherited if they are not compatible with the Persona created. For example, Jack Frost is incompatible with the fire type, so it is impossible for Jack Frost to inherit skill like “Agi.”

Skill cards ignore compatibility.

Unlike skill inheritance via Persona fusion, transferring skills using skill cards ignores compatibility. As mentioned above, Jack Frost cannot inherit fire type skills but by using skill cards, the Persona will be able to learn fire type skills like “Agi”.

Exclusive skills cannot be transferred to other Personas.

Persona Non-inheritable Skill
Alice Die for Me!
Satan Black Viper
Messiah Magic Skill Up

Regardless of compatibility, Alice, Satan, and Messiah’s exclusive skills cannot be inherited by other Personas. If you want to use these exclusive skills in battle, you need to use the specific Persona who has access to them.

How to Inherit Skills that You Want

Use high-level Persona materials to increase the skill inheritance limit.

When doing Persona fusion, the skill inheritance limit increases the higher the level of the material Persona used. Initially, only one skill will be inherited by the resulting Persona after fusion. If you are aiming to transfer specific skills during fusion, it is recommended to use high-level Personas as fusion materials.

If you reselect the Persona materials, inherited skills will be rerolled.

If the skill you want was not inherited by the resulting Persona after fusion, reselect it from the fusion materials and reroll the skill. When the skills are rerolled, a different skill than the last time will be displayed in the fusion result. Using trial and error,  you can create your ideal Persona with the skills that you want.
