Remember the Aether Foundation employee with green glasses that invited you here before you faced Olivia? You can find him inside the hotel in the Hano Grand Resort. However, we will explore the resort a bit more before meeting him.
Fly back to Heahea City and head east to enter Hano Grand Resort. Go down the stairs to the right of the hotel down to Hano Beach.
Once you’re down on the beach, head to the north, to the man standing in front of the lifeguard tower. There’s a Zygarde Cell underneath. Another Zygarde cell can be obtained from under a beach umbrella on the beach.
The man in front has a nice challenge for you. If you can find all the Pyukumuku that has washed up on the beach and chuck them back into the water, he will give you 20,000 pokédollars.
Explore the beach to find a few hidden items using Stoutland. There are also several items underwater for you to get, but there are trainers waiting in the water as well.
Return to the hotel to meet up with the Aether Foundation employee. He introduces himself as Faba, and invites you to come with him to a place called Aether Paradise. When you accept his invitation, Hau will appear with Kukui and Olivia, saying that he wants to tag along. Kukui then says that he will see you at the next island – Ula’ula!
Aether Paradise
The ferry will dock at Aether Paradise. Faba will show you around, then passes you off to another employee called Wicke.
She explains that Aether Paradise is a protected area, and as such, you cannot catch any Pokemon here. She also mentions that the President of the Foundation is in the area.
Go around to the left until you find a woman talking to Wicke. She welcomes you to the island, and introduces herself as Lusamine, the president of Aether Foundation.
Hau and Lusamine are talking when suddenly, a tremor strikes the area and a portal opens in the air. A mysterious jellyfish-like creature emerges from the portal! The unknown creature will challenge you to a battle when you come near it.
Ultra Beast Encounter: Nihilego (Lv.27)

[Battle Tips]
The Ultra Beast Nihilego will pose a challenge to your team as it has the damaging moves Venoshock and Psywave. It will also raise its Defense stat before the battle, decreasing the damage it will receive from your offensive moves. Keep Grass and Fairy-types out of the battle, and stick to Ground-type Pokemon, which deals 4X damage. Water, Psychic and Steel-type Pokemon will also withstand the creature’s attack.
Nihilego will escape after several turns, or when its HP gets lowered enough. Lusamine reveals that the creature is called an Ultra Beast, and it came out of an Ultra Wormhole – a gateway to another dimension. She says that she intends to save the Ultra Beast and take care of it.
Lusamine orders Wicke to bring you and Hau to Ula’ula Island. She gives Hau some Big Malasadas, and for you, Technical Machine 29, or Psychic. The two of you get on the ferry, and head for Ula’ula Island.
