Scarlet Nexus, the anticipated action role-playing game from Bandai Namco Entertainment, features a dual story and follows the adventures of two unique playable characters. Players can on the role of Yuito Sumeragi or Kasane Randall who both possess the power of Psychokinesis.
The two young protagonists then become new recruits to the Other Suppression Force (OSF) who wage war against a hostile alien threat called the “Others” for humanity’s survival.
Scarlet Nexus’ story tells of strange life-forms called the Others who suddenly came from the sky and have begun preying on the brains of all living creatures on Earth – including humans. In order to fight against this strange enemy, the OSF was created. This heroic group consists of people with special abilities and exceptional “brain power” and are tasked with exterminating the Others.
Main Characters
Every year, more and more recruits are joining the ranks of the OSF to be part of the endless battle between humanity and the Others.
Yuito Sumeragi
One of the OSF’s new recruits is Yuito Sumeragi, a kind-hearted and energetic young man. He is the second son of the prestigious Sumeragi family whose ancestor was the founding father of New Himuka.
Yuito went through tough training to help the citizens of his city and rescue them from Others, as he was once saved before as a child by a member of the OSF from an Other attack. This inspired Yuito to follow the footsteps of his hero and ever since then, has kept the ear cuff he received from his savior on that memorable day. In battle, Yuito wields a sword to deal close-range attacks in tandem with his Psychokinetic powers to damage enemies.
Kasane Randall
Another new playable recruit is Kasane Randall, an orphan who lost her parents during a raid against the Others when she was a child. Kasane was eventually adopted by the powerful Randall Family and grows to be one of the most promising soldiers of the OSF, being scouted at 12 years old. Kasane becomes an elite soldier with remarkable fighting skills and talent, mastering the power of Psychokinesis in combination with her proficiency with sharpened throwing knives.
Both Yuito and Kasane will have assistance from other soldiers from OSF, such as Gemma Garrison, Luka Travers, and Tsugumi Nazar, in order to get rid of the Other threat.
