Observe enemy behavior.

One important skill to learn in combat is to observe you foes attacks and behavior. This allows you to notice the timing of enemy attacks so that you can dodge away from them and even perform perfect dodges.

Learn to perfect dodge attacks.

Perfect dodging grants you an opportunity to land a swift counterattack to exploit the opening an opponent creates when they miss their attack. Being comfortable at perfect dodging also makes you less reliant on healing items which you can save for tougher encounters, especially against bosses.

Decide carefully when to attack.

In Scarlet Nexus, you cannot cancel out of any attack once you have pressed the attack button. You will have to commit to each decision you make in battle so knowing the safest opportunities to attack is important to avoid getting hit too often during combat.

This tip is closely related to observing your enemies behavior as you must try to get familiar with how much time it takes for a foe to recover after they throw out specific attacks. Likewise, try to get a feel for how long it takes for you to recover (or move again) after performing certain moves and abilities.

Scan your surroundings.

Sometimes, it is easy to forget that various objects can be hurled at enemies on the battlefield. Attacking enemies with projectiles is relatively safer than fighting them up close so take advantage of objects you can pull or drop onto enemies whenever you can.

Certain objects, particularly those that are very heavy, will cause enemies to become temporarily incapacitated or stunned if they are hit by them. Use the time to unload on them with more attacks before they are able to move again.

Listen to your companions.

Your companions will often provide useful tips on how to deal with various Other enemies in the game, particularly those you will encounter for the first time. Be sure to listen to them as much as possible during missions.
