Strategy

Fire Resistance

The Armor Spider’s main form of dealing damage (especially from afar) are its large and multi fireballs. Use equipment with good fire resistance such as Binded Cross armor set, Purple Flame Shield, and Ring of Flame Resistance to mitigate as much damage as possible.

Avoid the boss’ web shot.

One of the main threats posed by the Armor Spider is its ability to slow your movement and prevent you from rolling by firing web shots. Avoid getting hit by it as much as possible as you will need the mobility to avoid follow-up attacks, particularly the large fireball.

Dodge through the boss’ attacks.

Most of the Armor Spider’s attacks can be avoided by dodging towards her. This includes her frontal leg sweep and fireball attacks.

Be careful when the boss starts to charge its fire explosion move, indicated by a flaming mass radiating from her head. Run towards the entrance to avoid suffering massive fire damage.

Use Ranged Attacks

Using a bow or magic such as Soul Arrow lets you safely chip away at the Armor Spider’s health from a distance. For an even easier time against it, equip the Thief Ring and position yourself near the wall on the left side of the boss area. Shoot the Armor Spider to take out a significant amount of its health. If you run out of arrows, simply finish it off with a good melee weapon.
