Assault Shotgun Guide

Assault shotguns are shotguns found in Grand Theft Auto V that offers high burst damage in close proximity match ups against enemies with decent fire rate but poor accuracy. The weapon has a default of 8 rounds that can be extended up to 32 rounds. You can attach a flashlight on this weapon to help you see through low visibility.

Strategy

Assault shotguns like any other shotgun deal great burst damage in close-ranges due to each shell being loaded with multiple pellets that can deal a lot of damage if it hits the opponent  head on. The reason why the shotgun suffers in accuracy is because the pellets scatter even further apart from each other as you shoot it. That is why it’s best to use your shotgun at close range to ensure that the pellets won’t scatter as much and hit your enemy with the maximum damage it can offer.

The assault shotgun offers up to eight shells at default and with a decent fire rate, and high damage, you can march up to your enemies and shoot them in quick succession. The more you close in, the greater your accuracy becomes so make sure that you will charge full force on your target as shotguns excel in close-range combat.

As its name suggests, the assault shotgun is built for assaulting your opponents. The shotgun is not only capable of dealing with multiple enemies due to its high damage and decent rate of fire, but can also diminish a vehicle in a matter of seconds. The assault shotgun is best played in an aggressive style manner so make sure that you lunge in to your opponents front lawn and overwhelm them with your sheer force.
