[Grand Theft Auto V / GTA 5] Desert Eagle Guide

This page contains a guide on the desert eagle. The page includes a short description and how to effectively use desert eagles in Grand Theft Auto V.

Desert Eagle Guide

The Desert Eagle is a semi-automatic handgun that can deliver huge damage to enemies caught in its path. It can hold up to 9 rounds of bullets swiftly dealing massive blows to the enemy but suffering from high recoil. In the previous Grand Theft Auto San Andreas version, the pistol was only capable of holding up to seven rounds.

You can use extended magazines for the desert eagle allowing it to hold an additional 3 rounds making the weapon ready to fire a total of twelve bullets before reloading. The weapon can be purchased for $3,900 and will be unlocked in Rank 1 in GTA Online.

Strategy

Since the desert eagle is capable of dealing high damage with each bullet shot, it would be best to use each shot wisely as the magazine is limited. The recoil is also very high with each shot so the most optimal usage of the weapon would be to accurately fire each round against the heads of the enemy to maximize damage.

Desert eagles are very accurate as long as you fire each shot taking in mind of the high recoil it gives. Aim for the vital areas to maximize the damage output of your pistol. Aiming for headshots would also result to faster deaths of your enemies.

Remember, the desert eagle is best used as a single-fire shot. When faced against multiple enemies, just fire single bullets at each and one of them rather than panicking and quickly setting of your weapon as much as possible. This would just lead to your bullets getting exhausted without hitting any enemies since your pistol will suffer from the high recoil.
