How to Find Golden Shadows

Search when Tartarus is unstable

If Tartarus is unstable, accidents will occur more frequently and the probability of encountering rare species will also increase. Accident is a gimmick that requires you to explore the normal floor in a different situation and if you are in a situation where “there are many enemies”, all the enemies will become rare species.

Tips to Defeat Golden Shadow

Create a party with physical attacks

The Golden Shadow can only be damaged by physical attacks. Since you don’t know which physical attacks are its weak points, you should organize your team so that you can attack with all three types of attacks: slash, strike, and pierce.

Physical Attack Attribute List
Attribute Character
Slash
  • Protagonist
  • Junpei Iori
  • Mitsuru Kirijo
  • Koromaru
Strike
  • Akihiko Sanada
  • Shinjiro Aragaki
Pierce
  • Yukari Takeba
  • Ken Amada
  • Aigis

Attack from Behind

The golden shadows will run away and disappear after a moving a certain distance. So, if you find a golden shadow, approach it from behind and attack without being noticed.

It’s also effective to give instructions to your allies in battle

It is recommended that you issue instructions to “disperse” + “prioritize enemy subjugation” while moving around the floor and have other characters start the battle, as it will make it a little harder for the treasure hands to escape. Since allies do not have the motion to swing their weapons down, it is faster to enter battle this way.

How to Defeat Golden Shadow

Attacks with three attributes: slash, strike and pierce

Golden shadows can only be damaged by physical attacks and it is unknown which physical attacks are its weak point. Therefore, attack with all three attributes: slash, strike, and pierce.

Reduces Evasion Probability

Golden shadows has a very high evasion, so there is a high possibility that your skill attacks will miss. It’s recommended to use skills such as “Sukunda” that can lower the hit/evasion rate of a single enemy or fight mainly with normal attacks.

Don’t use All out attack even if downed by critical hit

Even when the golden shadows are downed with a critical hit, don’t use an all-out attack, instead use a follow-up attack to stun your enemy and earn an action turn. Since the golden shadows may escape, it is more efficient to knock it down and exploit its weak point to gain more action than to deal damage with an all-out attack.

Benefit of Defeating Golden Shadow

Drop Items to Sell

Defeating golden shadows are useful for making money as they drop items that can be exchanged for cash. To collect money efficiently, we recommend entering Tartarus when it is unstable and has many enemies, and aiming for rare species enemies.

Clear Request

As you complete the request, there will be a request that need to collect items dropped by rare species. You will inevitably get the request to defeat rare species, so be sure to find and defeat them when you get the request.

Get Nihil Weapons

Golden shadows also drop nihil weapons for weapon fusion. To fuse weapons, you will need this nihil weapons, so be sure to collect them.
