New unique character skills in Persona 3 Reload.

A Theurgy is a new type of character-specific skill introduced in Persona 3 Reload (P3RE) that have a variety of powerful effects in battle. These range from dealing massive damage to enemies, applying buffs on the party, to allowing a character the use of any Fusion Spell in battle.

When using a Theurgy, a character will call forth their Persona to perform the special skill which triggers unique animation sequences added in the remake version of the game.

Ignores enemy resistances.

Note that all damage-dealing Theurgies ignore enemy resistances, making them useful against any type of foe you encounter throughout the game.

How to Use Theurgies

Become usable after charging the Theurgy Gauge.

You can perform a Theurgy once a character has filled their Theurgy Gauge. This special meter gains charges through unique conditions such as using certain types of skills, landing critical hits, or casting debuffs on enemies.

Charge carries over to the next battle.

The Theurgy Gauge’s charge carries over to each subsequent battle. This means that it is possible to come into difficulty encounters such as boss and mini boss fights with all party members ready to use their respective Theurgies.
