Recruiting Raidou

Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster - How to Get Raidou

Getting Raidou requires you to unlock the entrance to the Labyrinth of Amala’s Fifth Kalpa. To do this, you must first clear the Fourth Kalpa and defeat Beelzebub. Afterwards, you will be able to get the Star Key from the Collector Manikin in Asakusa.

Always Call the Tile on the Left

Asking Raidou to join you will cause him to flip a pair of dice to decide if he will lend you his services. Always choose the tile on the left. If you call it right, he will join your party on top of giving you 100000 Macca.

Do Not Enter Tower of Kagutsuchi

Note that progressing through the different Kalpas of the Labyrinth of Amala is only possible if you have not entered the Tower of Kagutsuchi yet which is the game’s final dungeon. Be sure to avoid going in the tower if you want to recruit Raidou.

Steps to Get Raidou

1 Talk to the Mothman in the area at the Fourth Kalpa after beating Beelzebub.
2 Backtrack to the second Kalpa and head to the end of the Cursed Corridor. Talk to the Efree there.
3 Go to Nyx’s Lounge in Ginza and talk to Loki.
4 Travel to Asakusa and get the Star Key by talking to the Collector Manikin.
5 Travel to the Third Kalpa (B1F) and go south to the door and jump down the hole. You should find a switch to open the locked door in the Fourth Kalpa.
6 Go to the Fourth Kalpa and through the portal (Kagutsuchi phase must be an odd number).
7 Follow path as it slopes down to another portal at the end and go down the ladder.
8 Continue moving toward the path and exit to the north.
9 Look through the peephole and enter the Fifth Kalpa. Note that the Candelabra you need to enter is the one that the Lady in Black gave you in the beginning.
10 Talk to Raidou in the first room upon entering the Fifth Kalpa. Choose the tile on the left to get 100000 Macca on top of being able to recruit Raidou.
