Nekomata Strategies
Here is a breakdown of the battle strategies against the boss:
Equip Iyomante or Shiranui Magatama
Before the battle, make sure the Protagonist or Demi-fiend is wearing an Iyomante or Shiranui Magatama. These Magatamas do not nullify attacks but they boost Strength or Magic stats respectively.
Pass Regular Turn to Elec attacker demon
If you start the battle with Demi-fiend, make use of the Press Turn System and pass your turn to either Pixie, High Pixie, or others. This will give an opportunity for them to damage the boss with Electricity attacks.
Use Elec Skills
Nekomata is weak to Electricity attacks which Pixie, High Pixie, Shikigami, and other demons can capitalize. It can also inflict Shock status by chance.
Land Debuffs
Land debuffs on the boss. Debuffs can be in the form of attack power decrease (Tarunda), defense power decrease (Rakunda), and hit/ evasion power decrease (Sukunda). These debuffs can be accessed by Pixie, High Pixie, and other demons in your party.
Prioritize on landing Sukunda/Fog Breath first. Followed by Rakunda and Tarunda/War Cry.
Use Phys Skills
Use Physical normal attacks and skills to damage the boss. The damage will be higher and become critical damage when the boss is inflicted with a Shock status ailment.
Heal Allies
Keep the party’s HP sustained by using healing skills. Especially when other party members are using HP-consuming Physical skills.
