This section of the walkthrough will take you through the Obelisk and the passage leading to the Tower of Kagutsuchi, the final area of the game. Note that if you intend to clear all of the five Kalpa dungeons in the Labyrinth of Amala, do not proceed to the tower. Doing so locks you out of further progression in the labyrinth and you will not be recruit either Raidou or Dante, obtain any of the items, demons (Shady Brokers), and skills (Pierce), or unlock the True Demon Ending for the duration of your current playthrough.

Defeat Ahriman (First Phase)
1 | Ahriman void expel, death, and ailment skills. |
---|---|
2 | The unique mechanic of this fight is to follow the rules that Ahriman set. Breaking them will cause Ahriman to use Hell’s Call which instantly kills your entire party. |
3 | At the start of the fight, he will not let you use physical skills so cast Fog Breath, Sukunda, War Cry, and other useful debuffs before hammering him with magic. |
4 | Eventually, he will ban the use of magic. From there, use your strongest physical attacks. He will then prohibit you from using healing magic. Afterwards, you will not be able to summon. Finally, he will ban the use of items. |
5 | After defeating Ahriman in his first phase, the second phase will begin. |
Defeat Ahriman (Second Phase)
1 | For the second phase of the fight, focus on pummeling Ahriman with all of your strongest physical and magic skills. |
---|---|
2 | The boss can remove buffs and debuffs using Dekaja and Dekunda but you will still need to use them, especially to mitigate Ahriman’s damage output when he casts Megidolaon and Apocalypse. |
3 | Use War Cry (as much as possible), Fog Breath, Rakukaja, Tarukaja, and Makakaja whenever you can during the fight. |

4 | After moving east, follow the path as it turns northeast through the damage tiles to get Attack Mirror. From there, backtrack to the fountain. |
5 | This time, head west until you come up to a fork and take the one going south. Enter the door walk west. Feel free to examine the Cache Cube for a fight. Afterwards, move south and west. From there, head to the elevator to the north. |
6 | Head north to the save terminal ahead. Afterwards, head to the next area by moving south. Cross the magic blocks and take the path when it opens east a second time. |
7 | Enter the door and walk northeast until the path opens up north across the magic block. You will be forced down when you reach the next platform. |
8 | In the area below, walk south (use Lightoma or Light Ball) then west. Grab the item from the Mystical Chest before backtracking east. |
9 | From there, move north and turn when the path opens up east. Follow the path until you are pulled to the lower area again. |
10 | When you land, head for the Mystical Chest south and use the elevator to the west to reach the save terminal. |

12 | To the east is some magic blocks going south. Follow it to reach a door and go in. Climb the stairs. |
13 | Walk up the slope. From there, go north and continue up another slope to reach a forked path. Follow the one that heads down. Below is a block that you can ride to find a Mystical Chest. |
14 | Backtrack to the fork and take the path leading up. Go through the door and go west to reach a room. Go in and prepare to battle Noah if you did not raise the Musubi Reason flag. |
Defeat Noah (1st Phase)
1 | Noah’s affinities will constantly change throughout the fight when he uses Aurora. |
---|---|
2 | Before taking on Noah, be sure to include demons in your party who can deal fire, ice, electric, and force damage. |
3 | Noah will use different elemental magic during battle and will change after he casts Aurora. He starts with using fire, then ice, shock, and force before repeating the order. |
4 | Below is a simple guide to know what skills to use against him depending on what attacks he uses.
Use Makakaja to raise your magic attack and pummel him with strong skills like Prominence, Glacial Blast, Bolt Storm, and Tornado. |
Defeat Noah (2nd Phase)
1 | Noah’s second phase is similar to his first, though he gains Dominion which drains a large amount of HP and MP from a single target. |
---|---|
2 | Go about the fight the same way as the first phase. Remember to use Makakaja throughout the battle as Noah has 15000 HP that you need to burn down. |
Tower of Kagutsuchi Walkthrough
1 | You will get the Netherstone after defeating Noah. |
---|---|
2 | Go to the next area by walking up the slope and using the elevator to go up. |
3 | Talk to the demon ahead if you want to fight Noah at the Burial Chamber of the Labyrinth of Amala (if you raised the Musubi Reason flag). Afterwards, enter the door to find an elevator. Go up and move west and north. Enter another door to find Life Stone x3. |
4 | Backtrack to the elevator. From here, you can choose to go west to find a save terminal. Afterwards, return to the elevator and go north. Ride another elevator and prepare to battle Thor. |
Defeat Thor
1 | Thor repels electric and expel, voids death, nerve, and mind, and is weak to magic. |
---|---|
2 | Equipping Adama on your character is recommended to void Thor’s electric attacks. |
3 | Thor will mostly use physical and electric skills in the early stages of the fight. When his HP is lowered, he will use Dragon Eye to gain four blinking turn icons. |
4 | The boss also start throwing out Tarukaja -> Focus -> Hell Thrust in sequence to deal massive physical damage to a target. Because of this, use debuffs like Fog Breath and War cry to reduce Thor’s hit rate and damage output before attacking him. If you anticipate that Thor’s HP is low, buff your party with Tarukaja and Focus an pummel him with physical attacks. |
Tower of Kagutsuchi Walkthrough
1 | After defeating Thor, head west and go up the stairs to warp to a new area. From there, move south, then east, north, and finally east. Move south at the forked path and you should see three paths that open up to the east. Take the second one and follow it until you are warped again. |
---|---|
2 | In the next area, walk south all the way to warp again. Afterwards, move to the north, then west, then north again, and west again. |
3 | Follow the southwest path (one of two paths going south) to find a Mystical Chest. Afterwards, walk northeast. You will be warped again. |
4 | In the next area, walk northeast and step on the panel there to warp. In the next area, move south again to warp yet again. From this familiar spot, face behind you and get on the large elevator to go down, creating a new path to the save terminal. |
5 | Move south and ride the elevator. Get off and approach the forked path. From here, head west, then north, then east, south, and then east again to the terminal. Use it if you want to and exit. Afterwards, walk to the west, then north, then east, then south. Enter the door to the east and walk going south, then east, then south again, and then east again to reach a block that you can ride up. |
6 | From here, move west. Cross to the next platform on the magic blocks and walk on the panel to the north. |
7 | After you land below, walk south until you reach a large door going outside. Go through the door and walk around the perimeter of the tower. Go up the slope and ride the elevator. |
8 | Get off the elevator and enter the door up the slope. |
9 | In the next area, use the save terminal in the room to the north. Afterwards, go west and enter another door. |
10 | From there, walk south until you fall down to the lower area. Afterwards, walk east, then south, then east to find a Mystical Chest. After opening the chest, go up the elevator to the north and walk south back to the save terminal. |
11 | Head west to find the room with magic blocks again. Walk to the path of blocks to the north and cross it to the next platform. |
12 | Afterwards, follow the path going around east and you should come to the platform in the center. From here, walk west. As you come to the platform to the south, walk north to the platform to the west. |
13 | Enter the door ahead and move forward. After you are forced to the area below again. |
14 | In the next area, use the map below to avoid walking into the pitfalls. The spots marked with “x” are pitfalls, the red spots are damage floors. From where you start in the area, head for the area marked with “j”. |
15 | |
16 | Warp using the teleporter to the west. Afterwards, head past the damage floor to find Soul-Return. |
17 | From there, go west and warp again to the next area and walk north and west. Ride the elevator and another one on the next area. |
18 | Go to the save terminal by walking south. Afterwards, proceed west to reach a large room. Here, go north across the path of blocks. |
19 | On the north platform, walk east and go around it to the platform in the middle, then go west. When you reach the south platform, use the elevator to the south to go up. |
20 | In the next area, use the terminal to the west if you want. Afterwards, enter the door and prepare to battle Baal Avatar. |
Defeat Baal Avatar
1 | Baal Avatar repels expel, and voids death and ailment skills. The two demon allies that she will summon in the fight (Flauros Hallel and Ose Hallel) also share the same affinities as her. |
---|---|
2 | Be sure to equip Djed on your character as a countermeasure against Bael’s Bane that inflicts fly (incurable). |
3 | Having a demon who can use Makarakarn is useful for surviving Baal Avatar’s Mahamaon (expel-type attack with 30% chance to instantly kill all foes). |
4 | Demons with strong physical skills are recommended for this fight. Be sure to use debuffs like Fog Breath and War Cry as much as possible to lower the boss’ and her summoned allies’ agility and attack power as much as possible. |
5 | After dealing enough damage to Baal Avatar, she will summon Flauros Hallel and Ose Hallel. Focus on taking down Ose first since it can use Dragon Eye for their team. When Ose is down, aim for Flauros. It is very important to take down these two demons first before Baal Avatar as the pair will constantly buff and heal their party throughout the fight. |
Tower of Kagutsuchi Walkthrough
1 | You will get the Heavenstone after defeating Baal Avatar. Backtrack to the save terminal to save if you want. Otherwise, go through the door to the north until you are force down the lower area again. |
---|---|
2 | In the next area, use the elevator and go up. Afterwards, walk south and ride another elevator. |
3 | When you get off, go northwest and save at the terminal. From here, make sure you have done anything you need to do as going up the next elevator north (after you backtrack southeast) is the point-of-no-return. You will be up against the game’s final boss when you reach the top. |
4 | When you are ready, backtrack to the previous area and ride the next elevator to the north. Prepare to battle Kagutsuchi (Final Boss). Note that clearing the Fifth Kalpa of the Labyrinth of Amala will lead to another boss afterwards (Lucifer). |
Defeat Kagutsuchi (Final Boss – 1st Phase)
1 | Kagutsuchi voids expel, death, and ailment skills. |
---|---|
2 | Since Kagutsuchi does not have any weaknesses and resistances to any damage type (other than those mentioned above), this fight should be approached in a straightforward manner. |
3 | The only thing to watch out for is Kagutsuchi’s Vast Light skill which deals mega almighty damage to your entire party. The boss will only be able to use the attack during a full moon phase so before he does, stack as many debuffs like War Cry and Rakunda and buffs like Sukukukaja, Tarukaja, and Focus. Unload on him with your strongest physical and magic attacks. |
4 | After depleting Kagutsuchi’s alread-massive HP (20000), the second phase of the fight will start. |
Defeat Kagutsuchi (Final Boss – 2nd Phase)
1 | The second phase of the fight is mostly similar to the first, though Kagutsuchi will now be able to use Infinite Light on every other turn (since Full Moon phase is now fixed) to deal even heavier almighty damage to your party. |
---|---|
2 | As usual, stack debuffs and buffs as much as you can and heal up before he casts Infinite Light. Note that Kagutsuchi will frequently remove debuffs with Dekunda, though this force him to lose one turn which is good for your party. |
3 | After depleting Kagtusuchi’s massive 40000 HP, watch the ending. If you, however, cleared the Fifth Kalpa of the Labyrinth of Amala before this fight, you must fight Lucifer as well. |
Defeat Lucifer (Optional Final Boss)
1 | Lucifer voids expel, death, curse, nerve, and mind. All other attacks only inflict 25% damage. |
---|---|
2 | It is recommended to go into this fight at Lv.99. it is, however, possible to win against Lucifer at lower levels with a clean strategy and a bit of luck. |
3 | It is essential to have Pierce on all members of your party by purchasing Girimehkala from the Shady Broker at the Fifth Kalpa and having the skill inherited by your demons through fusion. With Pierce active, this allows your party to use any type of attack against Lucifer, ignoring his affinities (expect for repel). |
4 | Use debuffs like Fog Breath, Sukukaja, and War Cry and buffs like Tarukaja, Focus, and Makakaja as much as you can. |
5 | Bring as many healing items as you can and make sure you include a demon that can revive allies with Samrecarm. |
6 | Have your main character constantly hammering Lucifer with Freikugel when he is not casting buffs or debuffs. The skill becomes increasingly important to stack as much damage as you can when Lucifer is at low HP and is constantly casting Root of Evil (random debuffs on the entire party, including reducing everyone’s HP by 1/2, 3/4, or 9/10). |
