Tokyo Diet Building Walkthrough

1 Watch the cutscene at the entrance of the building and go up the stairs. Save at the terminal if you want and walk behind the stairs to get Life Stone x3.
2 Take the stairs down and move west. Enter the door and prepare to battle Surt.

Defeat Surt

1 Surt absorbs fire, voids expel, death, and ailment skills, and resist physical attacks.
2 Surt will do a powerful counterattacks if you hit him with physical skills. Because of this, it is recommended to attack him with magic other than fire.
3 Use Makakaja and Sukukaja to increase magic power and agility respectively. Surt does not have Dekaja to remove your buffs but has Dekunda to dispell any debuffs you cast on him.
4 Equip Gehenna on your character to absorb Surt’s strong fire attacks. Having demon allies who can drain fire will also trivialize the fight.

Tokyo Diet Building Walkthrough

1 Go through the door ahead and move past the hall. Afterwards, head for the second room to the south to get Smoke Ball. Backtrack up again and take the stairs going west at the other end of the hall.
2 Move north and enter the door. In the next area, continue forward and walk west when the path opens up and follow it to two doors to the north. Enter the second one and head north to the farthest door to the east.
3 When you reach the intersection, take the one leading north. Enter the door and go east to find a forked path. Take the path going south to find another forked path. From here, go east and enter the door.
4 Follow the path and move north, east, and south to reach a door.
5 In the next area, move west and get 3000 Macca inside the first room. Follow the path at the end and enter the room to the east. Save your game and exit west through the door again.
6 Back in the previous area, go through the door to the west. Follow the path going west and around the painting before turning south to find door. Enter it and prepare to battle Mada.

Defeat Mada

1 Mada absorbs physical, and voids expel, death, and ailment skills.
2 Equip Iyomante on your character to void Mada’s Intoxicate skill that inflicts panic. Demons with Me Patra are also recommended to remove the status from allies.
3 As with the fight against Surt, magic will be your primary means of damaging Mada. Since Mada can remove debuffs but not buffs, feel free to cast Makakaja to increase your magic damage during the fight.

Tokyo Diet Building Walkthrough

1 After defeating Mada, feel free to head back to the terminal to save. Otherwise, head for the next door to the east. In the next area, go west. Further ahead is a forked path. Take the one going south and enter the door.
2 Pass by the first path that opens up to north and head the other one (north also). Follow the path north and enter the door by the forked path.
3 Face east and you should see nine rooms. Head for the door that is second to the last to get Megido Rock. Exit the room and walk north. Take the west passage at the forked path and follow it to the far end. Go through the door to the south to get Bead.
4 Exit this room and walk east and south for a cutscene. Afterwards, take the path leading west at the intersection and continue around it going south. Take the path going west at the fork to the terminal. Use it and go out the unlocked door and enter the door to the east for a cutscene.
5 You will then need to find the fake statue. Simply look at the floor and look for the statue that has no reflection.
6 Afterwards, prepare to battle Mot.

Defeat Mot

1 Mot repels force, absorbs ice, voids fire, expel, death, ailment skills, and resists physical attacks. It is, however, weak to electric.
2 Having a demon with access to electric attacks is highly recommended for this fight. While it is still possible to win with physical skills, you are in for a long and drawn-out fight even with Tarukaja stacked four times.
3 Attack Mot with Shock Wave or any other strong electric skill. Your character can also equip Adama and use Bolt Storm to deal considerable damage to the boss.
4 Mot will usually perform a Makakaja-Megidolaon combo on your party and will increase his turns with Beast Eye.
5 While Mot can easily remove debuffs you cast on him with Dekunda, it is still useful for reducing his actions.

Tokyo Diet Building Walkthrough

1 Head for the terminal to save after defeating Mot.
2 Back at the boss area, follow the path north and when it turns west. Go north when the path opens up and move west when you come to the fork. Go in the two rooms ahead for Mystical Chests in each of them before backtracking to Mot’s area.
3 From there, go up the stairs to the east and go through the door. Follow the path ahead for a cutscene and prepare to battle Mithra.

Defeat Mithra

1 Mithra voids expel, death, and ailment skills.
2 The only thing to watch out for when fighting Mithra is his Dragon’s Eye-Mamudoon/Mahamoon combo which are death- and expel-type instant kill skills respectively. Simply cast Tetraja to counter it and he should be very easy to deal with.

Tokyo Diet Building Walkthrough

1 Exit the hall after defeating Mithra by walking west and open the Mystical Chest along the way. When reach the forked path, take the one that leads north to the terminal. Save your game and backtrack to the fork.
2 Take the path going south and get Soma Droplet before riding the elevator.
3 Ride the elevator to 6F and watch the cutscene. Afterwards, answer Hikawa’s question.

Tokyo Diet Building Walkthrough

1 If you chose to stop Hikawa, a boss fight will commence.
2 Prepare to battle Samale.

Defeat Samael

1 Samael voids expel, death, and ailment skills.
2 Samael’s most notable attack is God’s Curse which has a chance of inflicting charm, panic, sleep, bind, and stun on the entire party. Because of this, it is very important to equip Iyomante on your character.
3 Demon allies with Prayer, Mepatra, and Paraladi will also prove invaluable during the fight to cure allies.
4 You will also need to deal with Samael’s Megidola attack so make sure you have a demon dedicated to healing. Another measure against Megidola is to use Fog Breath and Sukukaja on Samael, lowering his agility and hit rate.
5 Note that Samael can dispel both buffs and debuffs so do not go too overboard with applying them during the fight.
6 Samael tends to perform a combo of God’s Curse-Beast Eye before stacking Rakukaja to significantly raise his defense. Be sure to use Dekunda before he can buff his defenses to absurd levels. Without Dekunda, expect a long and drawn-out fight since Samael has 8500 HP.
7 Focus on hammering Samael with magic as he will use Retaliate when hit with physical skills. Retaliate itself deals physical damage so demons with can void or resist physical can simply unload on him with physical attacks.

Tokyo Diet Building Walkthrough

1 After defeating Samael, watch the cutscene.
2 Afterwards, use ride the elevator down. Save your game at the terminal and travel to Amala Temple. Approach the upturned pyramid there.
3 It is worth clearing the Fifth Kalpa of the Labyrinth of Amala at this point if you intend to recruit Dante/Raidou or get the True Demon Ending. Otherwise, head to the Assembly of Nihilo via the terminal. From there, make your way to the Obelisk which leads to the game’s final area – the Tower of Kagutsuchi.
