Korgu Chideh Shrine Walkthrough
The shrine is on Eventide Island, southeast of the world map in the corner. You can use the Paraglider from the tip of Cape Cales if you have the stamina and glide from there to reach the shrine. You can also steer a raft to the island with a Korok leaf.
The quest will initiate when you arrive on Eventide Island. You will not have all of your equipment and items, making it quite a challenge to complete. You’ll have to make do with what you can find on the island to complete this quest.
The goal of the quest is to drop three orbs in each of the three apexes of the triangle that surrounds the island. Some of the collectibles that can be found here are mighty bananas (for replenishing your health), bows from enemy archers, arrows from enemies and crates, the Soldier’s Claymore (in a chest under a mud pond which you will need Magnesis to lift) and a sword (found in a chest near the pedestal on the southeast).
You will come up to and engage the Hinox here, so make sure to save your powerful weapons for this fight. The weaker enemies such as the Chuchus and Bokoblins are best dealt with using bombs.
To get to the north pedestal, throw an orb in the water and use the Cryonis to summon an ice block under it. Then, climb on top of the block and drop the orb in the concave slot.
The pedestal found on the southeast has a large slab on it. Use an octo balloon to lift it. The octo balloon can be obtained by defeating an Octorok in the central forest of the island. Drop the orb in the slot once you’ve removed the large slab.
The pedestal situated on the south west has some enemies guarding it. You’ll need to defeat the Hinox here, which has the third orb on its neck. You can momentarily stun the beast by shooting an arrow at its eye, then close in with a melee weapon for combos. You can also use bombs on the eye if you’ve run out of strong weapons to attack it up close. Take note that you can actually sever the Hinox’s orb necklace by shooting it with an arrow. Afterwards, run from the Hinox and drop the orb on the pedestal. You won’t have to kill the Hinox with this method.
Once you’ve set the orb on the pedestal, the Korgu Chideh Shrine will appear. You’ll also receive a Spirit Orb.

You can also shoot the hinox to annoy him, and then bait him up the hill and bash him in the eye with the metal boxes via magnesis. Kinda fun, actually.
Easier still: Sneak up on the Hinox by crouching and tilting the control stick only very slightly. See the hand he keeps scratching his belly with? Wait for him to lower it, and then stand on it – he’ll eventually lift you up to his belly, where you can grab everything on his necklace, carefully drop off him, and leave.
You can also glide onto the Hinox and steal the ball. That’s what I did.
