Kuh Takkar Shrine Walkthrough
The Kuh Takkar Shrine can be found in the eastern part of the Gerudo Highlands. It is at the foot the Laparoh Mesa peak.
The entrance to the shrine is frozen in ice, so you’ll need to use fire arrows to melt it. You can also try to create a campfire with a bundle of wood and light it, though this takes longer.
Once you’re inside the shrine, you’ll need to make your way up to the top while carrying an ice cube. Take off any fire-based weapon you might have that can melt the ice cube. On your way to the top, you’ll come across many flame obstacles that you should avoid. As you come up to the vertical flames, do a zigzag on their sides. Throw the cube to get it over the rotating flames. As you reach the horizontal flames, drop the cube.
Once you’ve positioned the ice cub safely on the floor, make a dash under the flames and towards the small lava pool. Use Magnesis on the metal cube there and set it on the horizontal flames. You can shut all three of the spouting flames by angling the cube diagonally. Get the ice cube again and drop it in front of the pool of lava.
Use Magnesis again and get the metal cube. Drop it in the lava to allow you to cross it. Carry the ice cube again and cross. Then, hit the metal cube again with Magnesis to shut the wall of flames. Carry the ice cube again and go past the wall of flames.
After getting past the wall of flames, place the ice cube safely on the floor again. Use Magnesis again and pick up the metal cube to drop it on the wall of flames on your left on the floor below. Then, make your way up the ramp and use the Paraglider to get to the metal cube to access a treasure chest nearby. After getting the treasure, take the ladder and return to the ice cube. Don’t forget to also get the metal cube.
As you come up on the last wall of flame, you have to throw the ice block through. It must land with a good distance beyond the flames. Then, use Magnesis again and use it to protect yourself from the flames spouting from above. After you make it on the other side, carry the ice cube again. Head for the altar where the gate will open as you come near it.
You’ll obtain a Spirit Orb after completing the quest.
