Muwo Jeem Shrine Walkthrough [The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild]

This page contains a detailed guide on how to complete the Muwo Jeem Shrine, including locations, enemies, items and strategy.

Muwo Jeem Shrine Walkthrough

The shrine can be found at the top of Cape Cales to the southeast corner of the world map.

The shrine requires you to defeat a Guardian Scout III. Note that the enemy wields two “+” melee weapons, so their damage potential is quite impressive. From afar, they can use quick shots that can be annoying at times, though they won’t deal too much damage.

Note that the Guardian’s specialty is melee attacks. If you’re close enough, they will use a standard assault using their weapons, which are fairly easy to dodge if you get used to the timing. Also watch out for when the Guardian jumps back a little with its melee weapons at the ready. It will do a spinning blade attack that is quite difficult to time and dodge. If you can manage to take cover behind an obstacle (such as a pillar), the Guardian will crash into it and hurt itself, being temporarily stunned and helpless to your attack.

After you’ve whittled the Guardian’s health considerably, it will use its laser attacks (either a straight one or a spinning one). The spinning laser can be avoided by using the Paraglider and using the updraft to take float in the air, avoiding the beam. The straight one is usually done when the Guardian is near death, so deliver the final blows when it is charging this. If you can’t reach him in time, you can deflect the laser back at him with a timed block from your shield.

After completing the shrine quest, you’ll obtain a Spirit Orb.
