Power Beam Attack

Metroid Dread - How to do Power Beam Attack

The Power Beam Attack is a standard rapid-fire beam. In Metroid Dread, you can attack from nearly any angle using Free Aim. You can modify its power and properties by increasing its attack’s spread or by adding new functions.

In Metroid Dread, you can now effectively shoot your beam while running, jumping, or holding on to certain walls of ledges.

Samus’ Beam Attack is already available for her in the game.

Charge Beam

Metroid Dread - Charge Beam Ability Weapon

The Charge Beam is a high-powered power beam attack that is charged by Samus before shooting. Similarly, you can move while charging the attack. However, the attack is slower.

Use the Charge Beam as your initial attack to slow or stagger enemies. Also, unlock Charge Beam Doors using the Charge Beam when encountered in the game.

How to Unlock

Acquire the beam upgrade by locating a hidden room in Artaria.

Metroid Dread - Grapple Beam Ability Weapon

A rope-shaped beam that connects to a specific Grapple Point such as a wall and ceiling. Once Samus connects, she can tow objects in form of pull or hung. Also, the beam can be used to swing around and land on unreachable parts of the environment.

Use the Grappling Beam to open Grapple Doors and manipulate the environment to open new pathways. Also, it can be used to pull and attract enemies.
