Metroid Dead - How to Wall Jump

Wall Jump is a useful technique that Samus can do to reach higher areas in the game. As the move suggests, you need to be up against the wall to pull it off.

Wall Jump

To perform a Wall Jump, do a spinning jump toward a wall and press the B button to kick up and propel yourself upward. Note that the direction that Samus jumps off of a wall is fixed, making it impossible to climb your way up a wall by trying to do a series of Wall Jumps upward.

Action Input
Wall Jump Tilt the left stick left or right and press the B button to perform a spinning jump toward a wall. Then, press the B button again to kick up.

Note that the you can only perform a Wall Jump off of a Spin Jump which requires you to be moving. You will not be able to kick off the wall if jump from a standing position.

Tips for Wall Jump

Unlock Spin Jump to allow higher Wall Jumps.

The Spin Jump ability lets Samus jump a second time in the air while spinning (essentially giving her a double jump). This allows you to kick off from a much higher point on the wall to reach areas even further above you.
