How to Use the Omega Cannon
The Omega Cannon is a powerful weapon in Metroid Dread that is capable of defeating EMMI robots in the game. The weapon can only be activated by absorbing energy from Central Units found in the various locations of the planet ZDR.
Upon coming into contact with a Central Unit, Samus’ Arm Cannon will transform into the Omega Cannon, enabling her to use Omega Stream and Omega Blaster to destroy EMMI robots by aiming at their core.
Omega Stream
Omega Stream is a gatling-type attack that allows Samus to destroy the protective covering around an EMMI robot’s core (weak point). Use it first to expose the enemy’s weak point.

Omega Blaster
Omega Blaster is the Omega Cannon’s most powerful attack which lets Samus fire a charged shot at an EMMI robot’s core. Upon landing a clean hit, the EMMI robot is instantly destroyed.

Using the Omega Cannon Against EMMI Robots
| 1 | After enabling the Omega Cannon from the Central Unit room, look for an EMMI robot. |

| 3 | Use the left stick and adjust the angle of your shot so that the blue laser sight is aimed at the EMMI robot’s red core (head). |
| 4 | While still in Free Aim Mode, press the Y button to use Omega Stream to destroy the protective plating covering the EMMI’s core. |

Tips for Using the Omega Cannon
The Omega Cannon must be recharged at a Central Unit after each use.
You can only use the Omega Cannon once after charging it at a Central Unit room. Because of this, the weapon should only be used against EMMIs. After using the Omega Cannon, it will revert back into Samus’ regular Arm Cannon.
Do not be afraid to take your time while aiming.
While in Free Aim mode, take your time to aim at the EMMI’s red core found on its head to make sure your shot hits it clean.

keep in mind, you cannot take the power with you to another EMMI. doors will seal in the closest EMMI area
Why is aiming with the canon so hard? I barely tilt the stick and the aiming goes way upward
Push the left stick right and you can fine adjust your aim. Took a while to figure that out.
